I often want to play OSRS, then I remember my tendonitis.

Hello fellow ergonomics enjoyer. I thought I was done with KBM games when WoW Classic hit and I had terrible forearm pain (only partly from the game, lol). Turns out all I needed was a vertical mouse! Honestly lifechanging ergonomics improvement. So now I'm prepared to grind WoW Forever until I give myself a different injury this time.

The controller scheme in WoW Forever is honestly great. I never ever ever thought I'd play WoW with a controller. I tried it on my steam deck and hated it with ConsolePort.

I still wouldn't ever play retail with one. But I intend on playing Forever on controller sometimes.

I got one of those 1inch thick mouse pads that slope forward, it worked VERY well in my case.

It's not that bad anymore. Unless you make it bad.

Don't believe this serpent's words. I have played the game for hundreds of hours before managing to pull myself out of it, so I know he lies!

But we used to have to do some pretty painful right click grinds, they are all left clicks now so your wrist pain is gone. Hence your addiction ;)

USB foot pedal is the cure

Funnily enough I quit WoW for OSRS because my keybinds hurt my hands worse than clicking ever did

OSRS is as click intensive or as AFK as you want it to be.

Fuck, thats why I don't play retail.

The 20 button rotation with 3 filler spells is carpel tunnel inducing.

My keyboard hand is fine. It’s my mouse hand that feels like shit.

Vertical mouse. My wife had really bad wrist pains using her mouse so she made the switch and it changed the game for her

I have one, and I think it's just too late for that to make a difference. Whatever is wrong with my wrist/arm can't be fixed with ergonomic adjustments at this point. Sucks big time.

Oh man I’m sorry to hear that. Check out the interview with simply on punching down. He talks about his hand issue and how he overcame it. It’s in the beginning of the podcast
