Forever Beta Feedback To all the Warlocks asking for stackable soulshards

Post image

You should know that this talent makes it so mages don't need reagents to make portals but does nothing for you. You'll still need to farm soulshards for summons. 😆

See you after your 12 minute flight, 5 minute boat ride, 20 minute flight.

Huh? I've never had an issue getting it free

Why would anyone give you a free portal? That's the equivalent of giving strangers money.

If they asked for 20s I'd give it to them

Well, after launch and acquiring this Legacy talent, there's no reason to charge for portals.

Have you actually played an MMO before? It's incredibly common to give people free stuff just to be helpful, and has been since long before WoW existed. In Forever, I've already given multiple people free money to train their weapon skills without having any idea who they were. And handed out some free bags. And gone out and helped with some quests just for kicks.

Once you get to end game content, the price for the mats is essentially free anyways. I'm only level 25, and I'm already using Teleport just for convenience because 10s isn't that much. By 60, 20s for a portal rune won't matter unless you're just standing there handing out portals all day long.

Starting the post with a very silly question is always promising.

INCREDIBLY COMMON? INCREDIBLY? Are you for real, man?

Mages make a living semi AFK selling portals and water, if it was INCREDIBLY COMMON for Mages to just give those for free, then how would some make a living off it?

A portal is what, 40 silver? You're not gonna be giving those out for free left right and center.

I started the post with a very salient question because you seem to have zero understanding of MMO culture in general.

Yes, I am very much for real. Mages port people for free all the time, and have done so in MMOs since literally before WoW was even in development. The fact that you have apparently zero knowledge of this again points very solidly towards you having no actual MMO experience.

A portal is 20s. I've vendored grey items for more than that, and we're nowhere near level cap yet.

Again, you're not going to stand there all day just handing out portals, but then you're not generally going to do that even if they're free. Because time is money. By end game, the time taken to create a portal is worth significantly more than the 20s it costs.

That said, there are often people announcing free portals in trade chat because they're bored. It's not generally difficult to get a port to a far away city if you care to try.

Because it costs you nothing. It's an mmorpg, interaction with your spells and abilities is the core gameplay

Because it costs you nothing

It costs a reagent.

You said you never had trouble getting a free portal.

Free portals are not in the game. They've always cost money until now.

I find it worrying that you need me to keep track of your own lies.

You're gonna be really embarrassed when you see the talent that removes reagent costs
