Forever Beta Feedback Phasing like this is really immersion breaking

I understand why they do it, but it feels like there has to be a more elegant way of handling it, or perhaps a better "overlap" period where someone only moves off your layer when they are no longer visible.

Yeah this is so stupid what's the point of seeing anyone at all if you just constantly layer and phase. The sense of community isnt gonna exist in forever at all.

That puts it nicely into words. Sharding turns other payers into temporary NPCs who nearly might as well not exist. They must instead seem like co-residents of the game world.

AI agents filling your group finder and waiting for you next to the dead quest boss who's on turbospawn so you dont get distracted from paying your sub.
