Troubleshooting Help - Chromebook charger not working AGAIN!

So i have issues with my chromebook.

A year ago the charger stopped working after one month, so I bought a new one. I am currently travelling so I have pulled the adapter out to fold it into my bag.

now, its plugged in again it wont charge at all, there is no light. It worked fine when it was attached but because I had to fold it and pack it away it wont charge, there is no light at all.

Can someone help? I really need it when travelling

first step is to isolate the issue. This is pretty basic stuff yet most people still can't do it nowdays.

Does the charger work with your phone? Is the Chromebook charging with another charger? Did you buy the exact same charger again after the first one died? Maybe its ultimately just a low quality product, thus the second failure.

It doesn’t work with my phone. It isn’t charging with a different charger either. Bought the exact same charger as it’s the only one compatible.

No, your Chromebook is just a USB-C PD charger. Look up what the Chromebook wants for charging and get a charger that matches. Don't get the cheapest one, as it'll fail in a month.. Or pay a little more and get the real OEM one.

What sort of Chromebook do you have and what charger? Is it a USB-C charger or one that has a DC barrel port?
