I've lived in France my whole life. Right now, with the riots that started here and are spreading across Europe, I figured it might be interesting to answer questions from an everyday person's point of view, what it's actually like on the street, not the news version.
Ask me anything: the riots, daily life, food, work, whatever you're curious about. I'll stay and answer everything

I am an internationally licensed commercial/industrial electrician, I am currently traveling on the East Coast building data centers. This was not my initial career plan, but these are consistently the highest paying jobs across the US. Most of my experience has been in hospitals, prisons, phosphate mines, and a variety of offices and warehouses.
AMA!

Yeah I'm wildin out tonight with my woman.
Some other tidbits to help the party going;
My cat is spoiled but I enable that. He came back from his catio enclosure on the deck and is yelling at me for food.
I also love letlive., the Wonder Years, and ninja sex party.
Ask me about my overthinking soliloquies.

I am secretly the stereotypical, cringy Disney adult.
I collect Disney merchandise, I decorate my house with Disney decoration, my favorite vacation is taking a trip to the Disney theme parks.
Ask me anything!

I am the youngest of 6 kids, and I'm 21 years old. I was raised in very tradition Sunni Islam. Among many other restrictions, I started wearing the niqab at 14, and I'd been a hijabi since I was 4. I was homeschooled until ninth grade, at which point after much begging I was allowed to attend an all girls school.
Here's some other restrictions in my household:
\- Fully veiled when going out. Absolutely no pants, dark abayas only
\- No western movies/tv shows/games (watched behind my parents back)
\- No phone until I turned 18 (got one behind their back)
\- Not allowed to talk to boys for any reason
\- No music, ever
\- Arranged marriage at 18
\- Mom always kept track of my period (prayer is restricted during periods in Islam)
\- Basically didnt celebrate anything except Eid, like no birthdays, Halloween, Christmas
I moved away at the age of 17 years old, four years ago. It was always my dream to do so growing up. I never really believed in Allah as a young kid, even. I am the first in my family to leave Islam. My two sisters eventually did fight back a little (one divorced, one did not get married off at 18) but they're still Muslims. My brothers are deeply traditional Muslims and I have no contact with them.
I applied to colleges behind my parents back, and I now identify as mostly atheist. I don't really believe in a higher power, but I also do not have any strong beliefs in what happens after death. Feel free to ask me anything about my upbringing, its effects on me, how I'm doing now!

I was traveling Thailand as a backpacker at the time. I was ordered to do a drug test during a night Police raid at the bar, which I refused, only to be arrested and forced to be invasively searched and tested at the station. I did not use any illicit drugs.

I've done one of these before, but I'm bored and feel like talking. So, three years ago I was walking on the sidewalk to a bus stop from work when I was struck by a vehicle. The driver sped off and to this day has never been caught. I was living in a major city at the time and had to be taken from the hospital back to my small hometown by my father, who I didn't recognize at the hospital (I recognize him now, of course). Doctors told me that moving back to my hometown would actually be beneficial in terms of restoring my memories. I have a lot of memories that I remember "recovering" in sort of an a-ha moment, when I taste certain foods, see people's faces, see certain things, etc.
I know amnesia is rare, so I'm willing to answer any questions anyone might have for me.

Lotta news recently about SCOs being dropped from retailers. I wouldn't know the larger industry trends or the corpo purchasing habits, but I do assist with selling and am the lead NCR Voyix FastLane technician/programmer for my company, as well as being generally around and knowledgable about our other Point of Sale systems.
yes i know it abbreviates to pos
yes i know that pos also means piece of shit

If you've ever had questions, ask away!

I worked at a fairly busy Ross for four years. I mostly kept to the fitting room, stock room, and floor with only sometimes being on the register. You can ask me anything about working there and I’ll answer to the best of my abilities!

It’s 1 AM, I’m way too caffeinated, and sleep is currently not on the agenda.
Figured I’d hang around Reddit and answer questions until I finally crash.

an explanation if you don't know what that is: essentially I feel little to no attraction like any description of aroace but out of concious will I can fall in love/feel attraction or lose attraction, it's like a light switch "how?" idrk I can do that in the same way I can move my hand I can sorta just..do it idk there's not much more to it. Actually for fun I like to fall in love with people and or characters because of the dopamine I can get from it.
I can't even begin to comprehend feeling attraction without choosing to, it's like trying to make up a new color.
It's even to the point of making me struggle with believing when people say they don't choose who they feel attraction too the whole trope of "ugh I can't believe I'm falling for that idiot!" doesn't make any sense to me, like just stop liking him??? I try my best to understand though.
(this sucks ik I'm one of the worst people to ask for an explanation) this microlabel is incredibly unknown so I'd like to hopefully popularize it a bit more as I literally cant even find a description for it when I search it, and there's only one page I currently know of that brings it up.
I really hope this reaches others who may feel the same way or a similar way, or maybe someone willing to help make it a bit more popular so I don't sound like I'm lying with every word I speak whilst describing it.
It took me a very long time to figure out it even existed.
I've found one other person who is similar to myself in a comment section from 12 years ago so thats the whole community welcome ig. Despite common belief we aren't mythical creatures and actually exist </3
I am very open to answering questions the best I can! (even if I'm pretty bad at explaining my feelings)
(link for the only instance I've seen it be brought up https://lgbt.fandom.com/es/wiki/Usuario_Blog:Andrea_Roma/Glosario_de_orientaciones_sexuales/rom%C3%A1nticas_(poco_conocidas))
i did not describe this very at all and i would love to have a wiki page for this because i genuinely cant describe ANYTHING to save my life

Pretty much what the title says. I take care of the home and kids while she takes care of the money.
