Be mindful of listings from suspicious third-party sellers on marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Newegg, and Walmart. These "deals" have a high likelihood of not shipping; use due diligence in reviewing deals.

  • Use common sense - if the deal seems too good to be true, it probably is.
  • Check seller profiles for signs that the sale may be fraudulent:
    • The seller is new or has few reviews.
    • The seller has largely negative reviews (on Amazon, sellers can remove negative reviews from their visible ratings)
    • The seller is using a previously dormant account (likely the account was hacked and is now being used fraudulently).

If you suspect a deal is fraudulent, please report the post. Moderators can take action based on these reports. We encourage leaving a comment to warn others.

"Jenerik" seems a bit generic and not real based on the other items they sell. Probably some company who just buys up OEM products... Idk.

I'm not a big keyboard guy (by enthusiast standards), so I'm sure there may be better advice.

But when I wanted to try out HE switches, I went with the Mchose Mix 87 (because I like TKL/80% and a volume knob). That will run about $45-60 depending on the switches.

If you like a more compact design like the keyboard posted, Mchose also has the Ace 68, which runs like $35+.

Mchose may be just another "Chinese brand" but I trust them more than "Jenerik"

(The prices I mention are rough estimates that I saw on Aliexpress, ship from US, after coupons and cashback)

LOL. That's most companies these days. Even name brand American companies. Go to the Canton fair and you'll find it very enlightening.

Yeah, I'm somewhat in the loop. Like I saw people joking yesterday when Corsair announced new mouse line like "What Chinese mouse are they rebranding this year?"

(Their previous Sabre V2 was a rebranded Dareu A950 that probably cost less than half the price)

That's why I recommended Aliexpress. You're cutting out some of the middle men and getting the same stuff cheaper.

For a moment I thought that the old K-Pop group NCT was doing a crossover and promoting obscure keyboards given proximity to Korea's extensive gaming culture but I think I reached way too hard.

Seems unrelated

So is this a hybrid keyboard? Why does it have 5 pin hot swap when it is HE?

Why is this good

Idk about ‘good’ but it’s as cheap as I’ve seen a magnetic keyboard. Might be nice to try out a cheap one before a real investment.

K70 Pro TKL refurbished is pretty good at $49ish, for only $9 more I'd just get that over this generic keyboard. Plus it potentially comes with a magnetic wrist rest
