Pcpartpicker is $2080 without a case and power supply. Good deal.

So Cheaper if buy 9800X3D Bundle $899 at Microcenter?

And Windows.

40

u/cuoreesitante 8h ago

that should be a cost deduction to us these days

-8

u/CanEnvironmental4252 8h ago

I mean most people still use it or MacOS.

7

u/cuoreesitante 8h ago

No question.

But with how bad Win11 is I've moved away to MacOS for day to day use, and Steam pushing linux gaming to the mainstream helps soften the blow too. I use my Mac for most of the casual/indie games, and have a BC250 Bazzite machine for others that don't have a Mac variant. My gaming PC is relegated to only online FPS that requires anticheat now.

Waiting for runelite (old-school runescape 3rd party client) to be fully operatable in Linux as well as OBS / Streamlabs and I will finally have to actually research Linux and move over to it.

u/cuoreesitante 5h ago

a quick google search says it already works in SteamOS

This a solid deal, presently anyway

AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 4.7GHz Processor

AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT 16GB GDDR6

32GB DDR5-6000 RAM

2TB Solid State Drive

Microsoft Windows 11 Home

2.5GbE LAN

WiFi 6E 802.11ax

Bluetooth 5.3

240mm AIO Cooler

Edit: Better deal with a 5070ti in the top comments, if it's in stock.

$100 more gets you the same build with a 5070 TI. https://www.microcenter.com/product/703334/acer-nitro-80-n80-181-ur11-gaming-pc

Currently sold out but it comes in and out of stock.

u/plantsandramen 9h ago

As much as I love my 9070xt, I would spend $100 more for the 5070TI option. It's slightly better than the 9070xt for overall gaming and it will have a better resale value.

29

u/Uqe 9h ago

The 5070TI is going for $1200 and the 9070XT is going for $800. At a $100 difference, it’s a no brainer.

Plus, selling a PC with an AMD card used is impossible. You'd basically have to part it out.

Not saying I'd buy either, but between the two obvious decision to go Nvidia in this circumstance.

3

u/anomoyusXboxfan1 9h ago

At a certain price point people are less concerned on brand. Say less than $600 for the whole pc.

3

u/Mattrad7 8h ago

I did exactly that in early July when the G763 was almost the same price as the 9070xt version with the same specs.

3

u/Heilanggang 7h ago

Do you know how they compare to each other in linux? I know amd has better support but does the raw power outweigh the driver tax for the 5070ti?

4

u/plantsandramen 7h ago

That's a good question, but I don't have the answer to it. I hope someone chimes in though!

2

u/misterwuggle69sofine 8h ago

100 is the exact amount of nvidia tax i'd be willing to spend in the 1440p zone, definitely worth keeping an eye on. especially since that one comes with onimusha as well. risky waiting though. if you don't care about nvidia stuff too much probably better to pull the trigger now

1

u/HiaQueu 7h ago

Would probably jump if it was in stock but sold out at my local MC.

1

u/HiaQueu 5h ago

Wish that was in stock near me. That's a nice deal on a 5070ti build

8

u/Sad-Barracuda-4407 9h ago

I have a 3080 and debating buying this but can’t make up my mind 😭

8

u/u-a-brazy-mf 9h ago

I built a similar computer 2-3 weeks ago but with a 270k instead of a 9800X3D and a 360mm AIO for $1740 before taxes. So if you factor in the cost of a 9800X3D vs a 270k... this is solid.

u/antstiggity1 9h ago

Pulled the trigger on this. I sold my ps5 last October because I had 4070tis 7800x3d. I ended up giving my daughter the PC in May for her HS grad. I had heard of the rising cost of PCs but thought it would pass and being it was summer I figure I use the extra cash to take my kids on some drivable distance road trips, figured a new PC can wait till after summer. I had a hard time justifying some of the prices and didn't pull the trigger on similar builds as this. I woke up this morning back to the hunt and finally decided that things might wont look any better in the near future. I have 15 days to decide if its worth the cost. Glad to hear some say it's a solid deal considering the times we're in. I opted for the micro CC 6 months interest free, which made it alot easier to swallow, with holidays around the corner.

1

u/Amphax 2h ago

You made the right choice to take your kids on the road trips.

Those memories will last far longer than this 9800X3D will :-)

Enjoy your PC!!!

u/Witch_King_ 10h ago

This seems like a pretty solid deal, no?

8

u/carsNshoes 10h ago

In the current market, sadly, yes.

5

u/Chase2020J 9h ago

Best deal you're gonna get for a pure gaming build in the US right now. If that's what you're aiming for and you're close enough to a Microcenter where this is in stock, don't think just buy. It's unfortunate the cooler isn't 360 though

u/hustlehard2 3h ago

Got this exact model as open box today $1500 and change pretax.

(Open Box) G764 Gaming PC; AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 4.7GHz Processor; AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT 16GB GDDR6; 32GB DDR5-6000 RAM; 2TB Solid State Drive; Microsoft Windows 11 Home; 2.5GbE LAN; WiFi 6E 802.11ax; Bluetooth 5.3; 240mm AIO Cooler
1 of (SKU) 041152 @ $1,537.96

2

u/-DaveDaDopefiend- 2h ago

That’s a steal

2

u/vexnificent 8h ago

Is it worth waiting a few weeks or month for something better from newegg or MC?

3

u/cocainemonger 8h ago

About a year ago similar builds were 1899. So I really doubt you will see much less that 2050

2

u/Rick_Sanchez1214 1h ago

Is PowerSpec a legit premade brand? Never heard of them

5

u/BeautifulAware8322 1h ago

They're Microcenter's prebuilt line.

1

u/Rick_Sanchez1214 39m ago

Thank you! Saving for a little bit longer for either this one or the 5070Ti one.

1

u/pltrweeb 7h ago

I have this it‘s good bought for 2100 though

1

u/HiaQueu 5h ago

Out of curiosity anyone know what NVME and PSU they use in these ?

1

u/CallMePickle 4h ago

Is the SSD and PSU both Inland brand?

1

u/AbleTechnician2837 3h ago

Really wish they had some case options, I hate glass cases.

Okay, now continue the chant - wait for AM6, wait for AM6, wait for AM6 :)

0

u/Pyrazoid 10h ago

Worth getting this or wait until one with 5070ti goes on sale?

12

u/carsNshoes 9h ago

Waiting months in this climate doesn’t seem to be helping, but patience can save pockets. I got an open box 9070 GRE for $475 on Monday. Nothing crazy, but at least it wasn’t resale pricing.

2

u/Thorstein11 5h ago

The 5070ti one is linked above for $100 more

1

u/Pyrazoid 5h ago

Thanks, I saved it

-2

u/ducky21 9h ago

Why would they put a 5070Ti on sale? They can't keep them in stock at prices above MSRP. What possible incentive do they have to stock it at less than MSRP?

You "wait and save" clowns missed the boat; your GPU is going to be much, much more expensive than my launch 5080. You can either accept that reality or play video games. I've really enjoyed playing video games for the past 18 months.

Sure. It's a great excuse to put up a big sale on stuff you were having trouble selling that nobody wants, like Intel GPUs, Intel CPUs, and low end AMD GPUs.

It's not magic. They're not going to discount 5070Tis on Black Friday just because you want one. What incentive do they have to do that? Again, they don't need help selling 5070Tis, on the contrary, they need help STOCKING ENOUGH. Demand is way above the supply curve and the prices can't seem to get high enough to find equilibrium.

It's clear from the downvotes you don't like what I have to say, and that's your prerogative, but one of us is trying to think about incentive structures and economics, and the other one of us is "bUt bLaCk FrIdAy" as if a day in November comes with a magic wand.

You're upset because you made a bad decision and I'm rubbing your nose in it.

2

u/Pyrazoid 9h ago

I'm looking for a prebuilt not a GPU. I see prebuilts go on sale all the time

What bad decision did I make?

1

u/ducky21 9h ago

My apologies.

Nothing about the rest of my post is different, because neither the case, PSU, CPU, or even RAM is the differentiator you or the people selling these and setting prices care about. The GPU is the limiting factor and the only thing that really matters in the price of the prebuilt, so when talking about your prebuilt you can just talk about the GPU.

I don't need to tell you that everyone in the comments of a prebuilt posts talks about value relative to the GPU.

So, again, sorry I couldn't read your mind, but that still doesn't mean I'm wrong.

What bad decision did I make?

Mostly wanting to buy a computer in 2026 tbh. I'm projecting a lot of shit onto you because there's a huge current of people on here who constantly try and "wait and save" for things that clearly aren't going to happen going into 2027, like 50 Supers or discounted 50 series cards.

You haven't actually literally said any of those things and I'm definitely putting a few words in your mouth.

1

u/Pyrazoid 9h ago edited 1h ago

Well maybe I'm the minority but I care about all the parts not just the GPU. It's odd to me that people would buy a prebuilt just for the GPU

Regardless, I'm not in a rush to buy a PC and there's no harm waiting to see if they go on sale

2

u/supersumo224 9h ago

See this is what I'm waiting for. They have always put their top computers on sale throughout November. May not be as good of deals this year but I'd be mightily surprised if they don't push sales on 5080, 5070ti and 9070xt power specs.

1

u/ducky21 9h ago

This is pure wishful thinking, starting from the conclusion of "I want to buy a very in-demand product at a low price" and working backward to find a situation that might produce that conclusion.

You aren't getting a high end GPU unless you're very lucky or willing to overpay. You made a bad call waiting for 50 Supers or whatever and now you're doing your best to justify that bad decision post facto.

4

u/supersumo224 9h ago

What is wrong with you? My microcenter has 25+ in stock with each of those GPUS and has all year. They will go on sale without a doubt. I'm just not expecting much more than a couple hundred off. Idk what your doom and gloom bs is but you can't still get systems if you want to pay.

1

u/Mammoth_Two7297 9h ago

Lol good luck if that's your plan bud
