I have been trying on and off for years to see if I can grow a beard, but every time I feel like a teen trying to grow out facial hair after a few weeks so I want advice, this is the current state after a little less than 2 weeks.
Do I just need to commit or am I just doomed for now. I think I should wait, but my father at my current age (23) could already grow much better facial hair, and now my friends who are younger too and I just don't know what to do
It also seems that besides sideburns and a few stray hairs on my cheeks I don't grow any facial hair on my face except for where it is visible now.

"I bought Toppik and want it to last all day; which one is better to use: makeup setting spray or hairspray?"

Gonna trim it down come Movember but I’m getting more facial growth on the sides. Any other tips for this though?
Keeps growing but stays curled up this size. Year growth, can pull straight to about mid chest.

70 years old and I'm just beginning to understand the benefit of a full beard. Strictly for the record, my mother hates it, hahaha...

(Started from ≈ 2-3mo of growth before going for the yeard, did not start clean shaven lol)

What grows can be cut off, what's cut off can grow back again. Trying to learn how to maintain my beard so today i've used the clippers for the first time to reduce the sides and fade them into the chinhair and mustache
The sides were fanning out and it started to bother me and look a bit silly.
Pretty happy with the result. Looks fresh imo. Used 5-6 guard with the grain and 3-4 scooping against the grain at the sideburns. Shaped with the trimmer, cut the stache with scissors.

Is the shape ok? I think it is. Just want some unbiased advice. I trim my own beard as I don’t like how the barbers does it. I’m currently growing it for winter. Thanks if you reply

Closing up the cabin for winter. Lots of work, but now time for a fire 🔥
