Need recommendations

• Upvotes

I purchased a hydrosystems trenton 72" x 32" alcove bathtub for my remodel, got it installed and found it had issues. The technical support person I spoke to told me it was a manufacturing defect and said they would replace the tub, and now 10 days later they've recanted on that statement and have given me 3 separate stories on how to proceed. I do not have the time to deal with this and it's costing me more money to wait them out for a new tub then it would be to buy new. I need a 72" x 32" left drain alcove tub with an angled backrest to lay down and I need the price to be around the $1000 range plus or minus a couple hundred. Does anyone have any recommendations for something that will not show up with defects?

Hi all, where is the access panel likely to be? (If it has one at all)

Can't see anything obvious such as a silicone sealed tile

i want to upgrade my bathroom and we have this shower head angle. when i looked it up google says it’s a 90 degree drop shower ELL. idk what the hell that is but i want a shower head and shower wand attachment not just the shower hand held attachment as the shower head. i bought a shower head before even realizing my shower cant just attach to it and i live in apartments so im not too sure if i can just change the circled part in the image… please helppp!! when i ask google it says use a s shaped shower head riser? anyone have any shower head recommendations that would work with this angle?

Help w weird shower location

I would like to put in a walk-in shower in place of our tub. The problem I see is the placement and origin of our shower water lines. We likely don’t have the funds to tear out the flooring and walls to make a more standard shower. So I’m hoping to find some creative solutions in this sub. We want a pretty simple glassed-in walk-in shower with a door, ideally (rather than just an opening).

But my main question for now is about the placement of the pipes and how a shower could work in a glass enclosure without tunneling to the wall at the back of the tub.

I need some advice on how to remove this yellow/orange stain from my shower floor. I’ve already tried Lysol Lime & Rust remover.

Looking for a durable alcove bathtub around $1,000 that isn't acrylic

Looking for a durable alcove bathtub around $1,000 that isn't acrylic

I'm looking for a 3-wall alcove bathtub measuring exactly 60" long by 30" wide. That's all the space I have, so I can't go any wider. The deeper the soaking depth, the better!

I'm hesitant to buy acrylic because I've read that these tubs can last around 10 to 15 years, depending on quality and maintenance, although some last longer. I'd prefer something more durable that could last for decades since I can't afford to renovate my bathroom frequently.

My budget is around $1,000. I'm particularly interested in enameled steel, but I'm open to other durable materials. Cast iron ones are very heavy.

Here's what I've considered so far:

• Schmidlin: I like these, but shipping to NY brings the price to around $1,700, which is over my budget.

• American Standard Princeton: The soaking depth is only around 9", which seems very shallow.

  • Recently discovered the Bootz Mauicast 60 in. x 30 in. Alcove Soaking Bathtub (12" depth) and steel based but who knows?

Does anyone have recommendations that meet my exact dimensions and budget? Has anyone had an acrylic bathtub that has lasted over 30 years and if so which brand? thanks I'd really appreciate your advice and firsthand experiences!

Where do you keep your bath products when you don't have much storage?

I like keeping my bathroom organized, but bath and body products can take up space pretty quickly.

Especially things you use regularly, like bar soaps, body scrubs, and shower essentials.

I'm curious what storage solutions actually work in a small bathroom without making everything look crowded.

Wall shelves, shower caddies, baskets, or something else?

Double Sink Vanity Recommendations?

Thumbnail

Hi all! My partner and I recently bought a home and are starting to demo our bathroom. We’ve been working with a contractor and are kinda stuck on what style double sink vanity we want.

Ideally it will be 60 inches double sink with ingresses sinks that is ideally not floating. We’ve looked at Floor and Decor, IKEA, and a few online stores and still feel like we’re at square one.

Our new bathroom will have a walk in tiled shower with this as our main accent tile and we are thinking of doing this as our main floor stone. Recommendations?
