Someone hand-painted Doraemon all over a Topps Heritage Ohtani rookie. Thoughts?

Just got an email from an artist I follow (Matt Gondek). I guess him and another artists took a real Topps Heritage Ohtani RC and hand painted deconstructed Doraemon characters all over it. Apparently it’s a 1/1 insert randomly placed in packs of some art card set they are releasing this Friday. Part of me thinks this is incredible and part of me is screaming about what they did to that Heritage card. What do we think?

I bought one of his 2018 Topps Chrome ones in a PSA10 at the peak of covid stimulus checks and that card didn't get back to what I paid until this last year. Not that I would have sold it anyway, love Ohtani.

Ive seen people hand paint on a Black Lotus before. Granted it wouldn't happen these days and was done to a pretty damaged copy. But altering expensive cardboard is nothing new

What people dont realize is that these custom card paintings use special paint that can be easily removed without damaging the card itself.
