Topps has to protect the luxury brands somehow. Nobody would buy Diamond Icons or Dynasty if the best RPA of a player was in Bowman Chrome. Also, I doubt most people want the whales that chase those cards to start splashing around with Bowman Chrome and driving its price up even higher.

Not defending Topps by any stretch, but I'm just guessing to get this into the run they had to have pre signed autos, or everyone would complain about the redemption that takes 8 months

Get you a 0.6mm Staedtler lumocolor fine point blue it's the exact marker Topps uses... 0.8 too thick, & 0.4 a little thin... 0.6 Staedler and nobody would know there was ever a sticker on it

It's on the sticker itself. That's one of the shittiest things about sticker autos. Topps prints things like this without the certification text, knowing it won't be signed in person.
It's a pipeline failure on their end.

Nah, I’m looking at others now and it’s on the cards, they just put the sticker over it on this one but on others they didn’t

You might be right. It's hard to tell from set to set. I'm looking at a few of my sticker autos and some have the Topps certification text printed outside the sticker area, but the newer ones have it within the sticker area and they look so perfectly aligned that I can't tell whether it's part of the sticker or the card.
Don't have the guts to tear a sticker auto off to check, even if the player sucks. 😅

I doubt they would print it on the sticker like this since the sticker has its own authentication statement several times in the holo

It's really hard to say. Take this particular topic card for example. The Topps certified text is centered on the sticker area. If it was printed on the card itself, shouldn't it be aligned with the name/team positions?
I'd have to compare with other non sticker autos with this same layout but it's getting late. 😅

The idea is nice. The execution? Abysmal.
I’d rather have a plain Supe, just the picture, without the sticker and without the “player worn” piece of who knows what?!
This reminds me of those old school bedazzle your own clothes commercials

Great card and I'm not even a mera fan you couldn't get a better piece to be in that card either I see people say Peel the sticker but I think it would destroy it.

I find that most bots are like the T-100 from Terminator; they’re usually two random words and 2-4 numbers. Easy to spot. Now when bots hit T-800 levels we’re even more fucked. Much harder to see. T-1000? Now we’re in The Matrix.

I swear I read Topps was going to do less stickers but now it looks like they are using them more than ever. Doing it on super rare cards is just trashy.

Damn, Topps. A 1/1 Superfractor deserves an on-card auto! There should be a rule that cards numbered /25 or lower are on-card autos, with exceptions for HOFers who have passed away. That relic is 🔥, but the sticker auto is such a letdown.
