Do these signs make sense?

It's not clear that Merry involves repeated movement. Check out on Google Emotion flashcards or posters as they include the sign for happy and a bunch of them show the movement more clearly imho.

The orientation is also super unclear for MERRY/HAPPY.

Using AI for Auslan instruction isn’t ideal. A lot is lost - the AI doesn’t understand what’s important, and in this case has turned the person around for aesthetics but now we can’t see what part of the hand is suppose to touch the other hand. You might want to consider using a pre-made sign, like this one on Teachers Pay Teachers: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Auslan-Christmas-Activity-Book-10270647

It was made using signs from https://signplanet.net/ not AI

Afaik isn’t it for key word sign (formerly Makaton)? But yes that’s definitely not useable for Auslan.

Actually the signs are correct - you would sign that if you're saying 'happy christmas' to anyone.

Happy Christmas - yes. but most people need to see how the movement occurs - hence a major limitation of a flash card

These where going to be made into stamps, most hearing people i showed this too knew to do it more then once but I'll definitely work on the design thanks for your advice

as in rubber stamps? Well, I wouldn't expect that most hearing punters would be able to work out what the movement actually is.

Self inking stamps

The orientation of the left hand is off for merry, and the arrow suggests rubbing in a circle or dropping off, not the actual action for the sign. Christmas is fine.

No it isn't. The right hand is palm down on top of the left hand. It will lift off, travel forward to the fingers end of the left hand, drop down and come back towards the body.

There is possible minor clarificationon whether the left hand has the thumb up in that photo, or is laying flat. Either are acceptable, but this is the whole problem when a 3d language is tried to be represented in a 1 dimensional plane. When most people sign happy, their thumbs are probably facing at a 45 degree angle from the centre line of their body as their hands come together.
