To be prententious here, most ASMR tends to be a bit silly and casual. I'm wondering if there are ASMR pieces that in your opinion have some artistic merit, like something a bit more musical or aesthetically considered, or has some interesting well written dialogue? Like reading poetry but done in an ASMR way for example. Could also be a piece of art that unintentionally gives you ASMR.

My kids are completely OBSESSED with Halloween, and one of my viewers asked for something spooky, so this year I stepped way outside my usual lane. I normally make calm, gentle whispered ASMR. This is a one-time Halloween roleplay called She Knows Too Much: a fortune teller who can see a little more than she should 🔮

I'm curious whether people prefer ASMR recordings that sound perfectly clean or ones that have little imperfections that make them feel more natural.

For example, a slight change in breathing, the sound of someone adjusting an object in their hands, a tiny pause between words, or the subtle background noise of a real room. These details can make a video feel like you're actually sitting with someone rather than listening to a carefully produced recording.

On the other hand, unwanted noise, uneven volume, or sudden mic bumps can completely ruin the experience for some listeners.

Where's the balance for you? Do you prefer polished studio-quality ASMR, or does a little natural imperfection make it feel more intimate and believable?

Every time an ASMRtist says to look up, down, left, or right, I always take it as look at the top of the screen or the left of the screen etc. I love visual ASMR so I like to look at the screen and visuals a lot (unless it's an eyes closed video). Sometimes I'll look all the way in the direction, but most of the time I look at the screen. I'm wondering if that's what others do or if it's just a me thing, I'd love to know if I'm in the majority or not!

I'm looking for audio-only ASMR roleplays with female voices where the character feels like she's genuinely there with you, rather than the usual ASMR focused mainly on whispers, tapping, tingles, or relaxing sounds.

By audio-only, I mean I don't want an on-camera performer or face reveal; a still image or illustrated avatar is fine.

What I'm looking for is a realistic sense of presence through the audio. When she's talking directly to you, her voice should feel like she's in front of you, interacting with you. When she leans closer, sits beside you, moves around, or hugs you, her position and distance should change naturally with the scene.

I'm interested in binaural or spatial audio, but it's not about constant movement from one ear to the other. I want the sound to match what the character is actually doing, with a convincing sense of closeness and distance.

The genre and setting can be anything, from fantasy to everyday situations in a room or other setting. It could be dramatic, playful, spicy, sleep aid, comforting, advice, affirmations, or even a fourth-wall break. What matters most is how creatively the audio makes the character feel genuinely present.

Just for reference, there's this guy, 3D Sound Studio, whose spatial-audio realism is actually amazing. The problem is that I don't want any male voice whispering in my ears and talking to me up close, and his content focuses more on demonstrating 3D sound than on companionship roleplays. His level of realism doesn't have to be matched; I'm just using him as a reference for the kind of spatial audio I mean.

Does anyone know any audio-only roleplays or creators like this? I'd love to discover older videos or lesser-known creators, too! Individual video recommendations are welcome, even if a creator has only one roleplay that fits what I'm looking for.

So as the title says, I'm looking for good ASMR videos that are either a part of a choose-your-own-adventure/ending series or have elements of CYOA/CYOE in them. I'd prefer F4M or F4A, but I'm not picky. (Yes, I have tried YouTube; I don't get many results.) I think it kinda goes without saying that, due to what I'm looking for being CYOA/CYOE, that would also mean it needs to be RP unless I'm wrong. I don't care if it's a bunch of collabs or all from one ASMRtist, but I do need help finding good ones.

I feel like some ASMR triggers get used so often that it's sometimes hard to find videos focusing on more specific sounds or techniques.

I'm curious about the less common triggers that people really enjoy but rarely find done well. It could be something like fabric sounds, gentle object handling, personal attention, or a very specific type of tapping.

What's one ASMR trigger you love that you wish more creators would make dedicated videos for? Feel free to recommend a creator or specific video too.

I went to go listen to some of her asmr in my asmr playlist on youtube but all her videos were missing, so I searched for her channel and it was just gone ? She’s pretty inactive on social media and her other youtube accounts were still up but her main one seems to be gone.

Some of my favorite ASMR triggers seem to happen completely by accident. The sound of scissors cutting hair, someone sorting through a box of small objects, a brush moving across a textured surface, or the quiet clinking of tools while someone works.

I think there’s something especially satisfying about sounds that aren’t deliberately made for ASMR but have that same relaxing quality.

What ordinary sound instantly gives you tingles or makes you feel sleepy? Bonus points for oddly specific triggers that most people probably wouldn't think of.

I have found the sound of heels clicking on hard surfaces gives me a head frisson. Especially stilettos on concrete.

I know it's unusual for ASMR, and head frissons are quite rare, but there you go.
