Political Question Amy Acton says her stepfather raped her at 12. He was indicted. Vivek Ramaswamy’s campaign used her estranged mother to call her a liar in an attack ad. How morally bankrupt must you be to weaponize a survivor’s childhood trauma, and why would anyone vote for someone as cruel and evil as Vivek?
Just another Republican defending and justifying pedos.

Political Question Do people remember when it wasn't like this?
It's been over 10 years since Trump descended his golden escalator. It's been over 10 years since Hillary's "basket of deplorables" comment.
Yesterday, Trump told a journalist, "I don't know who the hell you are, but you better be careful," and explicitly told The Independent's Andrew Feinberg, "Quiet. Quiet! What's wrong with you? Are you a sick person? I actually think there's something wrong with you."
Immediately following the event, the official Trump Rapid Response Team account on X took the President's vitriol further. They posted an official statement declaring that the President "absolutely roasts Mongoloid Moron AndrewFeinberg for his disgraceful behavior."
I didn't know what the word "Mongoloid" meant, so I had to look it up. It's disgusting.
This is a list of the things that the elected President of the United States has said to female reporters.
- "Are you stupid? Are you a stupid person?" - Nancy Cordes (CBS)
- "Third-rate reporter who is ugly, both inside and out." — Katie Rogers (The New York Times)
- "I don't think I've ever seen you smile." — Kaitlan Collins (CNN)
- "Stupid and Nasty." — Kaitlan Collins (CNN)
- "Most obnoxious reporter in the whole place... a terrible — actually a terrible reporter." — Rachel Scott (ABC News)
- "Quiet, piggy." — Catherine Lucey (Bloomberg)
Has it been too long? What does it say about people who cheer for this kind of behavior from a president?

Political Question Do republican voters not realize the two major parties swapped constituencies in the 20th century?
They're always making comments about Democrats being the party of slavery as if nothing has changed since 1861. Are they really that uneducated?

Political Question Why don’t we advocate for 0% interest student loans and forgiving current interest rather than forgiving all debt?
We all know that student loan interest disproportionately impacts people from lower income backgrounds. But there’s a lot of public pushback against forgiveness, and for decent reason. People who either never went to college, or paid off their loans in full, feel that they shouldn’t have to pay more taxes to offset student loan forgiveness.
So why not instead just wipe out all interest from both the past and future? That way it’s no longer predatory. You get an interest free loan from the government. You borrow $100k? You pay back $100k, not a penny more.
Sure, that’s still not free market, but it’s also not a big subsidy - the government doesn’t need to turn a profit off student loans.
I think this could be the happy medium to give a lot of people the relief that they need from crippling student loans without adding too much extra burden to taxpayers that wouldn’t benefit from forgiveness.
Thoughts?

Political Question Why do Trump supporters and Republicans not care that Trump's administration is the most corrupt administration in U.S. history?
I read this NYT article this morning:
"A Billionaire Wanted a Trump Pardon. His Family Gave Alina Habba a $50 Million Deal: Julio Herrera Velutini, a prominent Venezuelan, was seeking clemency. He got it not long after his daughter gave Ms. Habba, a lawyer close to President Trump, an extraordinarily lucrative job."
Why do Trump supporters and Republicans not care one bit that Trump's administration is the most corrupt in U.S. history?
Are Trump supporters bad people or something? Do they have no principles? No values? Are they just evil? Why do they not speak out against Trumps obvious corruption?
Some of my family members and friends are Trump supporters, they don't seem like bad people, but when the topic of Trump's corruption comes up they act like I'm speaking gibberish.

Political Question What do you think about Neil Bush, son of former President George H.W. Bush and brother of former President George W. Bush, voting for Talarico?
Character matters: Bush family member rebukes Trump, breaks from GOP in key race
"More broadly, I believe Donald Trump and those who have enabled him have done enormous damage to the Republican Party. I worry about a political culture in which loyalty to an individual takes precedence over loyalty to principle, and where those who hold power begin to believe they are no longer accountable.”

Political Question Was it a coincidence that well known MAGAt candidate for Ohio governor Ramaswamy is taking the words of a pedophile protector (Amy Acton's mom) and promoting them for his cause?
Acton told Ohio-based cable news outlet Spectrum News that she was removed from her birth mother “at the age of 12 for severe abuse and neglect and sexual abuse.”
Local outlet WKBN has reported that her parents divorced when she was 3, and that she moved frequently with her mother, living in roughly 18 homes by age 12 and spending one winter in a campground tent.
