QUESTION hey brothers i have been trying to set my finger print sensor on my arch linux with hyprland on HP EliteBook 840 G8 .

There is more to it on hyprland than following the wiki. I have 3 Dell XPS 13 9310s. One has Debian sid. Fingerprint unlock and in the DEs working with Cinnamon, Gnome, KDE and Xfce. Another has Arch with Gnome. Fingerprint unlock and in the rest of the DE is working.

The 3rd has been running hyprland since December of 2024. I have never been able to get fingerprint unlock to work nor get it to work with any apps that call for a password that also allows the fingerprint sensor.
