Essentially, someone I share my family plan with likes to demand a response immediately anytime they need anything. So, if they call/text and you say now's not a good time, but they don't want to wait, they open "find my" and start buzzing all of your devices. If you don't answer the phone, they start doing find my alerts and making all of my devices ring. And it never ends until you answer.
I don't see a way to prevent this without removing them from the family, which I can't do. Is that really the only way to stop this or am I missing a setting?

Hey! This is the cell phone that my mother uses for her basic things, this morning I tried to turn it on it and it said that it had no battery, they left it charging for several hours and it still didn't work, trying to turn it on with the charger connected I marked this screen, I did what it asks but my mac doesn't recognize the cell phone, any ideas?

Having trouble with storage issues on my laptop. I do not keep much on here except for a few work/school things. Not sure why my system data is so full considering I don’t use it for pretty much a lot of stuff. May you guys help me?

I NEVER use the passcode to unlock my iPad Pro, because I have facial recognition. For that reason, I cannot remember what it is. Today I tried to download a free app on the apple store, and it said I had to enter my passcode. I tried 3 times and it was failed attempts each time. Looking into this further, it seems that I can’t simply reset the passcode without wiping my entire device. What kind of process is this?? It’s infuriating…
I also do not have iCloud storage because I don’t need it, I purchased the top-end iPad Pro with plenty of internal storage so that I wouldn’t have to pay for a subscription. I think it’s very unreasonable that I would have to subscribe to iCloud storage just to backup my device before resetting the device to factory, simply because i don’t remember a passcode that I literally have never had to use until now.
Is there another way that I am not aware of, or something else I can do?? I already have 2-factor authentication, but that doesn’t seem to be an alternative option here. TIA!!

iPhone 16, have had it for 2 years. I changed the settings so messages are only retained for 30 days and cleared the recently deleted messages. I don’t have any messages anymore from before mid-September, and when I click on the “other” in storage settings it seems pretty blank, but it still says that messages is taking up 40gb (and, clearly, i’m running somewhat low on additional storage)
Any advice would be extremely appreciated, not really sure what to do here at all.

My phone has been doing this for years and it’s only happening more and more. I have the toggle for changing my ringtone volume with the volume buttons off (because I don’t really see the point, my ringer is either on or off), but for some reason my phone will just turn the volume all the way down on it’s own, making my alarms, notifications, and ringtone near inaudible, and I have to go into my settings and turn the volume back up.
It’s really frustrating, and I’ve been waking up late and missing phone calls because of it, so I’m just curious to see if anyone else has had the same issue. I haven’t been able to find anything about it online.

My iphone 17 has this case where the mag safe ring is created pressure marks on my phone. its getting pretty annoying so im wondering if i should put tape on the case to prevent it. Can somebody tell me if i should do this?
Also, i also thought of putting tape on my iphone's camera button for preventing my sweaty finger to break it

The on and off button on my phone is broken so I can’t double tap to pay. Does anyone know how to turn it off?

so i have a regular iphone 14 that i've had for about 3 years now. ive been meaning to update it recently but because the whole process is just so time consuming to move stuff from my iphone to my external hard drive (its a long story), i havent gotten around to it. that being said, i recently tried to iphone mirror with my macbook pro so i could pull up some art references but when i wanted to open up instagram, none of the buttons would work. confused, i went to my phone to just pull it up from there only to find that absolutely nothing works. when i try to shut off my phone entirely, pressing and holding the power button eventually causes all the apps to disappear or leave clear frames where they used to be. turning it off and back on leads to the apps reappearing. knowing that, here are the things ive tested that DO work in this weird state:
-the flashlight
-siri (responds to commands but nothing loads)
-pressing and holding apps (nothing comes from it though and im too scared to delete apps while its in this state)
-haptic feedback
-turning on and off (not to be confused with a full shut down. that does not work at all)
-changing volume settings
-changing brightness settings
-clock
-face unlock and password unlock
now, part of the reason why i think its this way is twofold. i think iphone mirroring might've done something somehow and also the fact that it hasnt updated in a couple weeks. my plan right now is to just let it die naturally (unfortunately time consuming considering its at 76% right now) and then charge it back up to see if that fixes everything. in the meantime, what do i even do?? i really hope i dont need to get a new phone because i have an upcoming trip in a couple days. all help is appreciated
edit: i tried to force restart it by pressing the two volume buttons and the power button and nothing happened other than the usual buzz you get when you try that. in fact, now my phone just will not shut off like at all. the screen still darkens thankfully. ive also discovered from this that screenshots still work but it doesnt help at all. in fact it kinda causes my phone to freeze up

When I go to FaceTime someone on iMessages, it will ask me if I want to FaceTime them on Snapchat or Whatsapp and then just regular facetime. I have accidentally called so many people on Snapchat it's so annoying. How do I turn this off?
