When the "comfort zone" is not destroying people's businesses just so you get free shit, I think we're doing better than France.

This sounds like some government ploy to give them an excuse to enact martial law. Can we at least give it a month?

That's my thought, use plants online to encourage violence, then trump swoops in and declared emergency powers and tries to indefinitely postponed the election. Any state that still holds theirs, because even in an emergency trump does not have that power, the Republican cowards running Congress will say those were illegitimate and refuse to seat their new representatives

What? We all gonna stand together in a big crowd and chant slogans until its time to go home and watch Love is Blind? Oh man, what ever will the fascists do?

u/CantaloupeFluffy165 12h ago
The French had this happen already.Under Louis XVI.And how did that end?A revolution.Could that happen here in America?I wouldn't be surprised.
1
u/TXLancastrian 3h ago
It ended with the death of thousands of normal people including those who started the Revolution at the hands of their fellow "workers"?
1
u/Apart_Ad1537 3h ago
The French Revolution was one faction of the aristocracy pitting the poor against another faction of the aristocracy and other poor people. It was not some socialist uprising of the working class saying “no more” to the billionaires of their time.
2
u/Themodsarecuntz 9h ago
I guess we have come full circle considering the American revolution inspired the French revolution.

Just before the midterms? I'm shocked. It's almost like they want to be able to declare a state of emergency or something

No they are not. The vast majority have football games to watch. What are we talking about?

Ahh, I wish I was young so I could cause havoc.
The reality is that my body is so broken that if my back or neck are mishandled, ill be paralyzed. I see ICE slamming people around and I would literally be dead or paralyzed if that happened to me. But if it reality came to it, I'd sacrifice myself to the cause.
I'm waiting on the midterm results.

Destroying small businesses that have done nothing to contribute to what they think they're protesting about?
Please don't.

NO, that is playing right into the repubtards/maga - ites scenario!
3
u/abrandis 14h ago
No the Maga preferred scenario is you remaining scared and timid. The best way to defeat a bully is with a good punch in the face..
The reality is if we ever got French (Europe) like protests it would be like a wildfire especially among the young who are unemployed and pissed off, and young people have older parents who are going to always back their kids , that would lead to serious demand a from everyone for change and even gop maga isn't stopping 60%+ of the American public

u/smokeytheeyelash 13h ago
As long as we stay misinformed and divided in our belief s thanks to us getting nearly all of it from repetitive social media messages paid for by the ruling class we will surely protest in mass. Now back to fearing the needle and gods written about during a time when the sun was thought to revolve around the earth and women no smarter than children.

It would mobilize the middle to shift right
It would give the current admin a reason to declare martial law
It’s a terrible idea
5
u/abrandis 13h ago
They may do that (martial law) in any case, your assuming the right cares about decorum or laws they don't they just care about authority.
Remember when forced to choose between democracy or the their part and authority they'll choose themselves

u/Top-Cupcake4775 13h ago
this “middle”, is it in the room with us?

u/Fantastic_Matter_137 13h ago
The people that don’t vote or the 20% that aren’t true maga but dumb and don’t pay attention and are scared of socialism do not want riots
I’m on board with BLM but they helped elect Trump

you are mistaking apathy for “middle”. there is no group of voters in the middle.

It needs to be after the elections, if they do anything to disrupt the will of the people. But then it needs to be an all or nothing mentality because it very much will be.

Americans are too lazy to even leave their house to buy basic essentials and you want them to hit the streets before noon for a protest! Maybe Amazon can deliver the signs and banners to their house and it might get them motivated.

u/BernieBooBro 14h ago
The protests in France are overwhelmingly peaceful.
Peaceful protests still raise hell and are twice as likely to accomplish their goals than violence.
2
u/Adventurous-Depth984 12h ago
Show me in the history books where a peaceful protest ousted corrupt leaders, granted freedoms, or caused new legislation to make meaningful change.
Go on. Show us.
-1
u/BernieBooBro 9h ago
Okay. How about the civil rights movement.
Or the women’s rights movement.
The American Revolution used peaceful protests to enact legislative change in Parliament.
Or the protests in Hungary recently.
Just to name a few.
By the way, there are these things called search engines that you can use to look stuff up. You should try it sometime!
Have a great day and leave me alone.

My brother in Christ, Hungary is engulfed in flames right now. What the fuck are you talking about?
No violence during civil rights? Riots! Assassinations! Dogs and firehoses.
The American Revolution???? You mean the revolutionary WAR?????
Foh. You literally know less than nothing.

u/BernieBooBro 6h ago edited 1h ago
Orban and his party lost the election after massive protests.
Riots wear not the norm during the civil rights movement. Peaceful demonstrations were. Riots got some disproportional attention, but most participants were not violents. The violence clearly came from the oppressors in all the cases you described. It rarely came from the oppressed.
The American Revolution predates the civil war. Again, most colonial actions wear peaceful. Colonial violence was exceptional before the war. And again, most of the violence was caused by the British. The war happened after all that.
“My brother in Christ”, I have a degree in economics and history and I teach this stuff for a living. It’s how I put food on my table and pay my mortgage.
I don’t need your approval and I’m done with your nonsense.
Good day.

Guys I know we are all thinking that everyone is too lazy or doesn't care BUT.... If we give them that they automatically win. Even if others don't do their part DO yours, vote, go to town meetings whatever you can do to help! Make YouTube videos! We can't be apathetic or things will continue to go downhill and our lives will eventually become nightmares... We have to try. Everyone, in whatever way. Get your friends into modern events and politics. Show them the corruption and hatred. We can't just say it's pointless because then we've already lost... I'm nobody, but I care. About all of you, my fellow Americans and of course my fellow humans all over the world. And I'm scared of where things are going, it's beginning to escalate faster and faster.

We need to be WAY harder on rioters. We don't need the retarded race riots again like we did in 2020s
-1
u/EyeLickSalamanders00 6h ago
These activists are going to be the same people that started the riots in France. They are paid activists. Just like what happened with the BLm movement.

Saw the video of a man's anime shop being looted by a mob. He had spent a good part of his life with it. Heartbreaking....and for what?

u/Senior_Ganache_6298 11h ago
Once looting starts, the high ground is lost. its a riot and no claim to virtue.
