Hello everyone,
Warm greetings from China!
I’m hoping someone in Aachen might be able to help me with something that has meant a lot to me for many years.
Many years ago, I came across a photograph of a beautiful angel sculpture on the Schöbel-Nadenau grave at Ostfriedhof Aachen on a Chinese website. I don’t know who originally uploaded the photograph, but the sculpture deeply captivated me. I was drawn to its beauty and expression, and I’ve kept that image saved for many years.
Since then, I’ve often wished I could see the sculpture in greater detail. Unfortunately, I live far away in China and have no opportunity to visit the cemetery myself. I’m wondering whether someone local might be willing to take a few photos of it for me, especially some high-resolution, close-up shots that show the details of the sculpture more clearly.
I’m not asking anyone to make a special trip, and I completely understand if nobody happens to be available. But if you live nearby or happen to visit the cemetery, I would be incredibly grateful if you could spare a little time to take a few pictures.
I also want to make clear that I mean absolutely no offense or disrespect to the deceased or their families. My interest is purely an appreciation of the sculpture’s artistic beauty and historical significance. I understand that a cemetery is a place of rest, and I would never want to disturb anyone or show any disrespect.
In my own small way, I would also like to send a sincere wish of peace and eternal rest to those laid to rest there.
Here is the reference photo I found:

If anyone is able to help, it would mean a great deal to me. Thank you for taking the time to read my post, and thank you for any kindness you might offer to someone living far away.
With sincere gratitude and warm greetings from China.
