ADDON [addon] I made a WoW addon that helps you find quests without telling you exactly where to go
Hey everyone! I’ve just released QuestFocus 1.0.0, a WoW addon I’ve been developing to bring some of the exploration and immersion back to questing.
One thing I’ve always loved about Classic WoW is the feeling of discovering things for yourself. But with modern quest addons, I often find myself following waypoints and staring at the minimap instead of actually experiencing Azeroth.
That’s what inspired QuestFocus.
Rather than showing you exactly where to go, it uses a subtle golden glow around the edges of your screen to guide you in the general direction of your quest. You still have to explore, pay attention to your surroundings and figure things out yourself.
It has Explorer and Guided modes depending on how much assistance you want.
It’s currently built for WoW Forever, with version 1.0.0 now available on CurseForge.

This is my first public release, and I’d genuinely appreciate any feedback, suggestions or criticism. I’m particularly interested in hearing whether this style of navigation makes questing feel more immersive.

I feel like stealing the Elder Scrolls compass would have been better than a glow but that's just me.
I really like the idea and thought just not sure the execution is what I would hope for. Note I really don't have a better one though that wouldn't be super complicated or very AI or labor intensive.
