I think there are three options here and two of them are viable while one is not.

  1. You contribute to gas and she drives you to school.
  2. She is perfectly fine with you not paying for gas and still driving you to school.
  3. You don't pay for gas, she still drives you and she complains about it.

The last one is not a viable option and it seems like with her comment you might be bordering on the third one. That one will just lead to resentment if that's the case. I hope this helps you figure this out.
