Hoodie strings was a huge pet peeve of mine. People I worked with were so stupid. I still cut mine off even though I'm not around conveyors anymore.

I used to work around similar belts but for logs of timber. They had big serrated chains imbedded in them to grip the logs. And the whole thing was at testicle height. And the emergency stop button would be just out of reach if you got caught.
