Just so you know, Grizzlies are going to have a tribute and moment of silence for Brandon Clarke tonight. JJJ and Brandon were very close.

Just thought I'd give you guys a heads up, in case you didn't know. it's probably going to get a bit emotional in the forum to start things off. Jaren and Brandon were really good friends, so it means a lot i think that he'll be there for it.

Otherwise, hope we beat yall's ass. Good luck this season.

Feeling grateful for the Jazz season starting tonight and the growth of Beehive Tickets, saving fans thousands of dollars already!

The Jazz season starting tonight has me feeling grateful. I've been a Jazz fan for life and a season ticket holder since 2015.

3 months ago Beehive was an idea. Ticket fees have spiraled out of control and the fans are the ones paying the price. I was going to launch for the start of the Jazz and Mammoth seasons. Launched early with RSL and college football included to build up the momentum. With the Jazz season starting today, I've already seen so much growth.

- 81 tickets sold fan to fan
- 26 sellers
- 35 buyers
- $6,778 in sales

On the big sites, about 30% of that ($2,033) would have gone to fees. On Beehive it was $337. That’s ~$1,700 that stayed with fans.

My mission is not to make money, my mission is to keep money in the hands of the fans and out of the pockets of the big marketplaces.

I'm grateful for all who have trusted Beehive and given us a chance. Keep spreading the word, keep listing your tickets, keep buying from Beehive, and let's continue to the keep money in the hands of the fans!

Wondering what caused the Jazz FO to make this move. I feel like Blake gave us real shooting off the bench, and his mentality was great.

I'm Going to Crash Out

• Upvotes

I have spent the last 3 months bringing up the Utah Jazz to people constantly and how good we could be. I was talking about them so much, I would genuinely annoy people. This is how we come out the first game? Absolutely terrible. No rebounding, no defense, offense is iso ball only with no movement. I am going to cry.

Ways to watch the Jazz

I no longer have over- the-air TV; it's there any way to stream KJZZ so I can watch Jazz games or are all of the streaming options subscription based? Is the easy answer just to buy a digital antenna?

Grizz favored

I don’t want to jinx the jazz, but I was quite surprised that the grizzlies are favored by 1.5 points tonight. I assume the jazz should be a better team than the grizzlies this year. They just started their rebuild whereas we are in our fifth year. We also have their best player on our team now. When I was looking at all the lines of the NBA tonight that one surprised me a little bit. Am I way off base?

How was Jaxson Hayes as center during preseason?

Grizz lurker hyped for tonight’s matchup. Excited to see these squads play tonight with both teams mostly healthy and trying to win after the tanking masterclasses we pulled off last season.

The Jazz is definitely my favorite team that benefited from the Grizzlies diaspora.

Y’all should win with all your offensive depth, but the only question mark I have for you is the Edey-Hayes matchup. I didn’t catch any of the games he played, but with the Lakers he typically struggled for rebounds against Edey.

Also really glad we have Jaren here for opening night, since we’ll have the Brandon Clarke tribute and the two of them were really close.

They tanked, they stockpiled, they rebuilt. Now the Jazz have turned these NBA experts into believers

It’s been a minute since I’ve tried but I’ve never had any luck getting anything over the air on this side of the lake.

Wemby just went 1/13 in a loss to the Thunder.

Should Ainge get on the phone with the Spurs right now? We need a center and Wemby could bounce back.

Anyway, here's to not overreacting when one of Lauri, JJJ, Keyonte, Peterson, or Ace has an off game. The season starts tomorrow and I'm just happy that meaningful basketball is back.

The Utah Jazz have the pieces to build a contender. Can they afford them all?

Heading into the 2026-27 season, the franchise currently projects a total payroll of $188,400,680, which is bottom five in the league, even though it is $23,439,680 above the salary cap. With an average age of 25.1 years, Utah shares the spot for the league’s fifth-youngest squad alongside the New Orleans Pelicans, who the Jazz face Friday in the home opener.

The table below show the Jazz's current player salaries (does not include Tony Bradley's which is $3.5M) according to basketball-reference.com

Rk   Salary
1 Jaren Jackson Jr. $49,000,000
2 Lauri Markkanen $46,113,154
3 Josh Green $14,679,012
4 Darryn Peterson $13,195,320
5 Jusuf Nurkić $10,576,923
6 Ace Bailey $9,523,080
7 Keyonte George $6,563,925
8 Josh Okogie $6,000,000
9 Jaxson Hayes $6,000,000
10 Brice Sensabaugh $4,862,237
11 Svi Mykhailiuk $3,850,000
12 Mo Bamba $3,286,399
13 Kyle Filipowski $3,000,000
14 Isaiah Collier $2,763,960

Next year Key's salary balloons to $28.7M with 4% annual increases until 2032. Brice is on the last year of his contract. Next year Flip and Collier will be playing out the last year of their contracts unless they and the Jazz agree on extensions.

It's too bad the Jazz didn't decide to award Brice with a rookie contract extension as he is a solid shooter. I think the Jazz will give Brice significant minutes in the first few months of the season to see where his development is at. If he doesn't show enough improvement on defense and rebounding the Jazz might seek to trade him away and promote Hinson to a regular contract.

Josh Green is on an expiring contract that I think he won't earn on the court. I like what he's shown in the meager minutes he's been given in the preseason but he and Okogie are a bit too identical. Ace seems to be shaping out to be a good defender so the Jazz might seek to trade Green before the trade deadline.

The Jazz still don't have a third point guard and also need to look for their center of the future.

Any cheap way for an international fan to watch a replay of the opening game tomorrow?

My dumb ass scheduled our team's game right to opening night. Is there any way for me to watch a replay that doesn't mean buying an expensive subscription? SEG has single games, but I don't know if it would work with a VPN set to Utah.

I'm outside of the US.

Do you trust me?

We always talk about make or break seasons for players. This feels like a make or break season for Coach Hardy. How confident are you that he is the coach of the future for this team to take the next step? I believe in the Hardy offense. But to me the defense is still a huge concern. Do you trust him?

To early for the fire Will Hardy thread?

This team looks like they have no clue what they’re doing. Under prepared, sloppy, and just ugly basketball.

Jazz+ tickets transferable?

As a Jazz fan in Montana I am blacked out of the games on League Pass but cannot stream the game like locals, so I bought the Jazz+ subscription. Jazz+ is more than league pass but they 2 offer free tickets to a game. I was hoping to be able to sell them for to recoup some of the cost. The email says “they can’t be sold”.
Does anyone know if they can be transferred?
