God gave him cancer, and then took it back.
God is mysterious, its pranks are ineffable.

Well God created cell life and some cells behave badly. Also God sent doctors to the Pope

That's great news. However, there will be routine CT scans to check for any recurrence. If it was a small tumor the chance of recurrence is small.

Cancer fucking sucks - my dad is a vet with brain cancer and I’ve had to run a GoFundMe to help my family with the costs. A month ago he was in a nursing home and they threw him out over an argument over PT. My mother spends most of her time going from work to the hospital and back.

I’m wishing the pope the best, lung cancer had to be one of the worst kinds.

JD Vance will find a way to get him, just like the last one.

So he's dead?

Quite the opposite

So he's not alive?

If only they would be modern, instead of midevial, and allow women cardinals, and women popes. The sexism that still is very strong in the Vatican, is one of the reasons why I turned pagan. If the pope dies ... I don't care.

It’s why I don’t wear my pope hat anymore

Thanks for letting us know. If you die I won't care either.

Why did God give the Pope cancer in the first place?

•

God may or may not be real, but this pope is a solid guy so it's a small win in a world of bad things for his cancer treatment to be effective.

So annoying redditors can pretend to have a win

JK it's literally in the Bible to trust doctors and medicine. If you are of the belief every single thing is planned by God, then you can consider this news to be enforcing that aspect.
