Just a quick reminder of what this sub is.

This is a satirical subreddit that is dedicated to a single comedic gag - censoring innocent, or otherwise safe-for-work content, in order to imply that the content is not-safe-for-work.

There have been a huge influx of users not understanding the purpose of this sub. Be sure that you are viewing the rules before submitting a post.

To everyone that has been submitting reports, keep doing so. We will review and remove posts as they turn up.

Chinese censorship of the demon slayer infinity castle movie part 1

From a traditional standpoint, I feel like they tried to censor it to reflect the tradition of sharing a cup of sake with someone you're swearing allegiance to, so it looks proper in the first portion as it's flowing down and kinda see-through

However when it's in the characters hands it should have been clear and reflective like the original, and now it just looks like milk (which dosnt make sense given it was shown to be transparent) or semen (which unfortunately makes more sense given how the 3rd shot is portrayed)

Didn't know they swore on SpongeBob lol. Captured on Nickelodeon earlier.

(for context this is a reference to that time the word job was censored practically everywhere for some reason)

Reddit automatically deleted my comment; "switch the x and y-axis" apparently due to a "brigading risk"—idc but maybe it's not supposd to be top down—is ranking supposed to be bottom up?—or even horizontal instead of abstract vertical…is top-down social hierarchy/ranking baked-in isolation-nudging?

Unnecessary Censorship

r/UnnecessaryCensorship

This subreddit was created for posting and sharing pictures (static or gif) and video. Unnecessary Censorship refers to the practice of adding censor bleeps, mosaic blurs or [black bars to source materials that were neither profane or explicit to begin with. The bleeps are typically dubbed over words to make it sound as if they were explicit. Mosaic blurs and black bars are placed over people, objects, or text to make it appear as if they are covering up pornographic or explicit material.
