This is the monthly "Open Discussion" thread, where you're free to ask questions, start a discussion, promote your Twitter account, give ideas on how to improve this subreddit, or provide feedback on how this subreddit is moderated.
This thread is for your support questions, discussions, self-promotion, subreddit feedback, or anything else.
IF YOU ARE POSTING ABOUT UN/SUSPENDED, LOCKED OR AGE-LOCKED ACCOUNTS (PROBLEMS & QUESTIONS), THIS IS TO BE DONE IN THIS THREAD ONLY.
Stand-alone threads about Twitter Account Suspensions or Twitter Account Locks are unwelcome anywhere else in this subreddit. They *Will Be Removed* and Locked.
If you're looking for more guidance on How To Get Your Suspended Account Back, read here.
Don't forget to read our FAQ, and if you have information to add to it or something that needs updating, please feel free to make those changes!
While r/Twitter aims to be a community to help other Twitter users solve problems with the service, this also isn't the ideal place to ask support questions.
Support questions are preferably asked in this "Open Discussion" thread. If you've posted a thread asking for help and no one has responded, you may have better luck asking your question here instead.
If you do have a functional (meaning: not locked or suspended) Twitter account, it can't hurt to let @ TwitterSupport know of your problem directly on Twitter dot com.
If you are looking to promote your Twitter account to others, ask for followers, or any type of self-promotion, you can do so in this thread only.
The volunteer moderators who guide the direction of this subreddit rely upon the feedback of the community in order to make it a more perfect place on Reddit.
Feel free to give that feedback in this thread, or if you'd prefer to give your feedback in private, [send a private message to the subreddit modmail.
If for some unholy reason you need to see past open discussion threads, they are available here

last night i saw how people were freaking about because there were so many sessions on everyone’s account. i thought it was pretty serious and freaked outlast night cause i was tired when i learned all this and thought it meant it was a hacking. now that im rested i think i misread the situation but i cant find any concrete facts. is this an actual problem or a hack or was it just bugged?

I got an email from [verify@x.com](mailto:verify@x.com) a little over an hour ago saying my account was accessed in a city I've never been to and then a second email that my password was reset. I'm now logged out of that account, although I have access still to my second account.
I tried resetting the password on my main account but it said there had been "too many attempts" and I submitted a help ticket to X.
My question now is, is anything else compromised? How were they able to hack my account without 2FA? I checked my Google security settings and see no weird activity/password changes/logins that weren't me — same for my other social media. Should I still be worried about my email or other accounts? Is there something I should be doing to make sure I'm safe elsewhere?

with the new update that adds "calls" into the sidebar menu, i haven't been able to see the "profile" tab there unless my screen is at 90% zoom instead of 100% and i was wondering if there was a way to see it without having to change my zoom percentage (this all pertains to the web version of twitter btw)

Hi everyone, how’s it going?
I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced something similar.
I noticed several web sessions connected to my Twitter account; however, when checking the account’s access history, there were only IP addresses from locations I had actually accessed it from.
I removed all these web sessions and changed my password, but new web sessions keep appearing whenever I check the sessions tab.
Could this just be a bug? Aside from the logins originating from IP addresses I recognize, there hasn’t been any suspicious activity, nor have I received any login alerts or emails.

Is the Boost feature included in the Plus plan or only Premium? And does this really bring your posts to wider audience?

I have been on the X Basic plan for a few years now. As far as I can tell, this plan no longer exists but I have been grandfathered into it and its now called the "X Legacy plan".
Is there any information on how long I can continue to stay on this plan? I know that other companies have had these grandfathered/legacy subscriptions but at some point they kicked everyone off or switched them to a new plan

So, my account got locked despite being over 13. It said this:
X uses the personal data in your account to provide its services. But because X has determined that you are under the age required in your country to consent to the processing of your personal data, your account has been locked. Your account will be removed from X unless a parent or guardian provides consent on your behalf. In order to keep your account, please provide the contact information for a parent or guardian.
I clicked the "Get started" option, and filled out the form, but it turns out that I was given _the wrong form._ I am a citizen of France and that is the country set on my account, however I physically reside outside the country and the EU as a whole. Due to my location it gave me the form for non-EU countries (which doesn't need the parental consent mentioned.) After finishing the non-EU form I got an email saying the restoration tool would be available for me after a period of up to 24 hours, though that time has passed and I still don't have it. Should I: a) Use a VPN to get to and fill the EU form I am supposed to fill out or b) Wait
I don't know if my first option will work well because in another email it said: "As a reminder, additional requests submitted for this account will not be reviewed." So yeah that's basically it

This is ridiculous. I'm using Twitter via the DuckDuckGo browser because I encountered the same thing with the app. However, whenever I search for something trivial on my phone, it always shows me a trending tweet about it.
This happens more than once. For example, yesterday I asked chatgbt for help adding files to a game, and when I went on Twitter a little while ago, I found a tweet about someone trying to add the same type of files.
I PAID FOR the BLUE TICK MARK PLUS for THREE OF MY X ACCOUNTS and none of them got the blue tick its been more than 5 days , AND X does not have any support or anything , GOTTA FREAKING PAY TO GET SUPPORT LIKE HUH??
ANYONE KNOW WHY?

I tried using Ernest Hemingway and a few other persons but the selfie isn't working just keep saying "something went wrong, try again".
Is there any other way to do it besides vpn, I don't wanna buy anything and don't trust the free ones.

a few months ago i noticed i was following 2-3 accounts i didn’t recognize. i unfollowed them, changed my password, and put on 2FA. today i was scrolling my feed and saw i was following another account i didn’t recognize and a few more after checking my following tab. i unfollowed them but i’m confused on what’s happening?
i only use twitter to keep up with news and games i follow.. aside from liking and bookmarking a few tweets, i have an empty private account. so my following is very selective and i can tell it wasn’t accounts that simply changed their name/layout. i don’t notice any other strange activity that makes it look like I’ve been hacked? it’s just that i am randomly being added as a follower for accounts every so often despite putting security measures onto my account.
is there any explanation for why this could be happening?

I was making a new account and then it hit me with the share a photo of your face to verify that you're human which was super weird because there are so many other ways to verify as human.

i have my old twiiter account named after myself i do not know passsword or email of that account and whenever someone searches my name it pops up before i used to say that it is not mine but with location feature they know it is me i feel weird pls help me delete
Wow. I try and mute words that I don’t like to see on my fyp. It keeps showing me replies to tweets that contain that muted word. Like what’s the point of the feature then?
