Lore “Hey that’s not so bad- SWEET JESUS”

A shot is set up in such a way where it looks fine from one angle, then they reveal another that makes it look way worse

Infinity War - Thanos reveals Nebula hanging up imprisoned, then when the camera follows Gamora going to her we see that mechanical components are stretched out and her head and body are in pieces.

Breaking Bad - Hector sets off a bomb in a murder suicide against Gus but he seems to walk out fine impossibly, then the camera moves to in front of him and you see half of his face is just not there anymore.

The best one.

I enjoy pretty much all of them equally, but my favorites are: Sonnie's Edge (action), All Through The House (comedy), The Very Pulse Of The Machine (sci-fi), Kill Team Kill (action).

The one directed by David Fincher himself is so tightly directed it was just absolutely insane

Like you're watching it on the edge of the seat, every second counts, the pace is just perfect

And then you see

"Directed by

David Fincher"

And you're like "show off"

Another one I'd add to my list of favorites (Bad Traveling for the uninitiated). And of course it has one of the GOAT'd voice actors Troy Baker.

Yeah and I agree that even the worst LDR shorts are mostly really good

I only dislike maybe a couple of them, that seem... pointless. The one with mercs in a cave, where the vampires fear a cat, and then they die seemes like it wasn't very well directed, or animated, or had a particularly captivating story, or interesting visuals - honestly, nothing happening of note - and the one at a junkyard, because most of it is just a drunkard incoherently rambling and then the guy just doing his job is killed for no reason. Maybe I didn't get it, but I really didn't get it, and the style was unpleasant as well.

Oh and the one about appliances becoming evil. The idea is solid, but I disliked the visuals and the pacing is somewhat sloppy

When you watch these great shorts one after another you really start appreciating and "seeing" those things, where you can tell it's like a song where the music just kinda breaks for a moment, like a vinyl player skipping a line. It's not a beautiful part of a song that is quiet and getting louder, it's just an abrupt stop

I dunno, the WW2 Russian troops or the Dracula episodes are pretty fantastic too.

Love, Death & Robots.

Its a scifi anthology series on Netflix. 3 seasons with some hit or miss episodes. The ones that hit though are fuckin AWESOME. This shot is from a season 1 episode, and it very good. Recommend watching before you get too spoiled

If you have Netflix, I highly recommend it. They're short films, so you can watch a few within in hour.

Just don't binge them all or else you'll get to the end and go looking for more

And when you don't find more you start smoking crack just to fill the void with something, anything.

You can at least give Secret Level a chance
