My streak has increased significantly when I changed my perspective on how I use FSD. Before, I would let it drive and get frustrated with various things it does that I wouldn't have done if I was driving. So I would take over a lot out of frustration.
But now I've decided to treat FSD as my copilot or my assistant, a driver that helps me out by taking some of the burden off the mundane aspects of driving, but I still maintain control.
For example, I will switch between Standard and Hurry mode regularly during the drive. If it's going faster than I would like, I lower the profile. If it's going just at speed limit and there's a car tailing behind me, I will switch to hurry to make it speed up. If I want it to switch lanes, I will turn the signal on to make it change lanes. If my exit is coming up and it's still in the left lane, I will turn the signal on in advance to make it switch to the right lane. At Stop signs, I press on the accelerator to give it a nudge to make it more "normal" in going through stop signs.
Doing all this has made me much more satisfied using FSD because I can tailor its driving behavior to be more in line with how I want to drive.
Anyone else an "active" fsd user?
