LOOKING FOR BUDDIES Anyone want to study Operating Systems or System Programming together?

Hi everyone!

I'm a Computer Science student in Italy, looking for someone to study and work through exercises with. I'm in the Italy time zone (UTC+1, CET/CEST) and have a flexible schedule, so we can arrange study sessions depending on our availability.

I can communicate in English, so language shouldn't be a problem!

I'm currently studying concurrent programming in Python, and I'm also covering Bash and Perl scripting, although the scripting part doesn't have to overlap. I'm at the university-study stage and looking to strengthen my understanding through practical exercises and discussion.

If you're studying Computer Science or Computer Engineering, you may have come across similar topics in courses such as Advanced Systems Programming at the University of Denver or Concurrent & Distributed Systems at George Mason University, or you might simply be interested in these topics for personal learning.

I'd love to compare solutions, discuss tricky concepts, and help each other understand the material better. We don't need to follow the exact same syllabus or be at the same stage, as long as we have some topics in common.

My goal is to find a study buddy with whom I can regularly practise, exchange ideas, and work through challenging exercises. If you're interested, feel free to comment below or send me a Reddit chat message!

Accountability Partner Required | Company Switch in next 4-5 months

Hi, I am 24M, software engineer, working in a service based company in Gurgaon. Desparately want to make a switch in next 4-5 months. It has been close to 3 years I have been working in my company as a frontend developer (tech stack: ReactJS, React Native, NextJS).

I want to make a switch to some product based company.

Looking for a serious accountability partner as ambitious and desperate as me. I just want that we ask each other atleast once a day that- did we worked today towards our goal, no matter 1%, 2%, 50%, or 99%, or did we just even crawled towards it ? That's enough. Apart from this I am open to all help and resource sharing.

Just little bit more about me: I feel I have ADHD (not sure, not diagnosed either). I believe in astrology (thanks to one of my friend for making me believe in it). "Rahu" dearly loves me becuase of which I keep thinking and never do what needs to be done. Maybe we body double and help each other to get what we dream of.

I don't want to create a group. Just 1-2 people who are really dying like me would be great to connect. I'll try to reply asap to your responses.

If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, drop a comment or DM me. I'm happy to connect!

Thanks for reading. 🙂

Looking for a DSA study buddy in Noida, India (in-person)

Hey! I'm a Python dev with around 3 years of experience, currently working from home.

I've been wanting to get serious about DSA for a job switch, but I struggle with studying consistently on my own. I tend to get distracted at home and end up not putting in as much focused effort as I'd like to.

Looking for someone who's in a similar boat and wants to get serious about DSA too. Not looking for a tutor or someone to teach, just someone to sit and study with so we can keep each other accountable.

The idea is pretty simple: sit together for a couple of hours, solve our own problems, and maybe discuss what we got stuck on or learnt afterwards. I've studied DSA before, so I'm not starting from scratch. I just think having someone study alongside me would make it much easier to stay consistent.

I'd prefer studying in person, maybe at a coworking space or some other quiet place nearby. Since I already work from home all day, getting out of the house to study would be nice too.

Timing-wise, weekday evenings after 7 pm work for me, and I'm flexible on weekends, especially mornings.

I stay near Sector 104, Noida, so someone nearby would be ideal. If you're in a similar situation and this sounds good to you, feel free to DM me! :)

NEED A TEAM Building a Serious Long-Term Software Project – Recruiting Dedicated Developers

Hey hey hey

I'm a second-year Computer Science student looking to assemble a small, dedicated team of developers to work on an ambitious, long-term software project.

I've been programming primarily in Java and have experience with data structures, algorithms, and software development. I've worked on individual projects, but now I want to build something significantly bigger with a team of people who take development seriously.

I'm looking for

  • Developers with a solid understanding of at least one programming language.
  • People who are passionate about programming and problem-solving.
  • Individuals who can collaborate, communicate clearly, and take responsibility for their work.
  • Developers who can consistently dedicate some time each week.
  • People interested in long-term collaboration rather than joining for a few days and disappearing.

You don't need to be a professional developer or have years of experience. What matters is your ability, motivation, and willingness to contribute.

Send me a DM containing:

  • Your programming languages and technologies.
  • Your experience level.
  • How many hours per week you could realistically contribute.
  • What interests you about joining a team like this.

I'm hoping to meet developers who want to go beyond basic projects and build something substantial together.

Looking forward to hearing from you !
