Hi everyone,
I am applying for a Master's program at a university in the Czech Republic, and I need some advice from students who have already gone through the admission/nostrification process.
I am from Pakistan and have completed my Bachelor's degree. Before applying, I had my original Bachelor's degree certificate and transcript superlegalized at the Czech Embassy in Islamabad.
Now, after going through the university's admission requirements and procedures, I have reached the stage where I need to provide my documents for either nostrification or internal evaluation.
The issue I am concerned about is that the Czech Embassy in Islamabad clearly states:
"The Embassy legalizes originals only and does not accept copies or verified copies."
Because my documents have been superlegalized directly on the originals, the university's instructions seem to require me to send these original documents for the recognition/evaluation process.
My questions are:
- Is it normal and safe to send the original superlegalized Bachelor's degree and transcript to a Czech university for nostrification/internal evaluation?
- Do Czech universities return the original documents after the evaluation process?
- Is there any alternative, such as requesting the Czech Embassy to legalize/attest certified copies of the already-superlegalized originals?
- Has anyone from Pakistan gone through this exact process recently?
I would really appreciate it if anyone who is currently studying in the Czech Republic or has already completed the nostrification/internal evaluation process could share their experience.
I am especially interested in hearing from Pakistani students who had their documents superlegalized at the Czech Embassy in Islamabad.
Thank you very much in advance for any guidance! 🙏
Sending superlegalized original documents to a Czech university — is it safe, and what does "notarized" mean?
Since my documents have been superlegalized directly on the originals, the university's instructions seem to require me to send these original documents for the recognition/evaluation process.
There is also another term mentioned in the university requirements: "notarized documents."
This has confused me because I am not sure what they mean by notarized in this context.
My questions are:
- Is it normal and safe to send the original superlegalized Bachelor's degree and transcript to a Czech university for nostrification/internal evaluation?
- Do Czech universities return the original documents after the evaluation process?
- When a Czech university says "notarized/certified copy," does this mean a copy notarized by a notary public/court in Pakistan, or does it need to be certified by the Czech Embassy?
- Since the Czech Embassy in Islamabad says it cannot certify copies of original documents, can I have a copy of my Bachelor's degree/transcript certified by the Czech Embassy and send that instead of my superlegalized originals?
- Has anyone from Pakistan gone through this exact process recently?
I would really appreciate it if anyone who is currently studying in the Czech Republic or has already completed the nostrification/internal evaluation process could share their experience.
I am especially interested in hearing from Pakistani students who had their documents superlegalized at the Czech Embassy in Islamabad.
I am mainly worried about sending my only original Bachelor's documents by post, so any advice or firsthand experience would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much in advance! 🙏
