I personally never felt victimized by feminism. I think it’s because I’m open minded and have a respect for personal boundaries.

Because you’re checks notes not a douche.

It’s mediocre men that are threatened by women’s equality.

First, second, and some of third wave feminism were about equality and I'm all for it. The social media wave (2008 and on) of feminism is anti-male and I don't support it. 57 yo male raised by a second wave feminist lesbian couple.

Is it anti male, or is it anti a •certain type• of male

If it's only a certain type of male then why are we not allowed to say "not all men"?

Because it derails the conversation. Makes it about your hurt feelings instead of the actual issue.

Because it’s assumed. 🤦🏻‍♂️

That’s the whole point of the post. 🤦🏻‍♂️

And the reason for the response “not all men” is to diminish the point of the statements when talking about toxic masculinity.

It’s not assumed at all when the language used often implicates the entire sex.

‘Men need to do better’

I’m doing just fine thanks.

Edit: if it’s not meant for me, then the language used is poor and women need to do better.

I’m doing just fine thanks.

Then it's clearly not meant for you and you can just move on with your day.

The post is clearly saying that the only time it's acceptable to say "not all men" is when men are do something good.

And the reason for the response "not all men" is because men should be allowed to defend themselves and not be forced to be grouped in with the worst.

Nope. You didn’t get it.

It’s that modern feminism isn’t an attack on all men. Hence, “not all men”.

And no. Men are allowed to defend them selves, but nothing ever stopped that. But when someone is like “men are oppressive” and your response is “not all men” the point of the response is to invalidate the statement.

Nothing should ever be assumed for the sake of clear communication.

Because if you are saying it it's definitely you.

No? I never said that, I think you're responding to the wrong person.

It’s certainly types of “social media” for the wave they’re referring to.

Sounds like you’ve entered into an echo chamber. It’s why my comment stated plainly “in my personal experience.”

Listening to propaganda is not a nuanced personal experience
