A few people from Texas on this website get pissy when I flame them for rolling over and accepting getting abused by their elected officials.

But... Why be mad at me? I don't live in Texas, you do, and therefore you had the power to vote for the people making your life miserable, no?

The fact people actually believe that, boggles my mind. “I didn’t vote so therefore it’s not my fault that the people currently in charge are terrible!”

Unless you are forcing them, it's their choice to vote or not.

And if they choose not to vote, they are consenting to whatever decisions they decided not to engage with. Voting is a right and more importantly, a duty.
