American Dream šŗšø Friendly reminder: Zelenskyy's approval rating in the US is 31 points HIGHER than Trump's
91
u/PSC-Trades67 1d ago
What's funny is Ukraine elected a comedian as a president and got a great leader, USA elected a supposed businessman and got, well we all know that answer, a clown.
39
u/GreenSsswinger 1d ago
The list of drastically failed business ventures that Trump has made is astounding. He's bankrupt more than one Casino (the one business that basically just makes money by existing), and even tried making an embarrassment of a competitor to the NFL. How anyone ever saw him as a successful business man is beyond me.
15
u/NoLibrarian5149 1d ago
He IS a businessman. Just not a good one. And heās brought his corrupt mafia tactics to the world stage.

u/WatWurst 1d ago
Needs to end like one

Ah but his daddy's small loan of a million dollars keeps that fascists head afloat

I mean sure, if we narrow down the definition to someone who now or once owned a business.

The casinos were a front - read up on the money laundering that went on through them. You don't accidentally bankrupt casinos - that money went somewhere.
2
u/GreenSsswinger 1d ago edited 1d ago
That's honestly 10 times worse than bankrupting them through sheer incompetence. Not that it's surprising, though.
4
u/Lansan1ty 1d ago
Most comedians are basically modern day philosophers. You may not agree with all of their positions, but if you listen to any good comedians you can tell they're doing great social commentary. I'm not going to put comedians on a pedestal and say that they can all be politicians if they wanted to be, but they're certainly more qualified as thinkers than "businessmen".
3
u/LogicalDictator 1d ago
I was thinking he's more akin to a pile of something. But he does like to cover his face with makeup. So, clown is also fitting.
2
u/not_chrash 1d ago
I respectfully disagree. Clowns can be fun. What we got was a flaming sack of dog shit.

I mean his fortune did increase as president. Nothing for american people, but HIS fortune did increase by billions.

u/G_UK 1d ago
Zelensky will be remembered positively for centuries in Ukraine. They will build a statue in honour of him at some point.
Non of which can be said about Trump.
59
u/Botol-Cebok 1d ago
23
u/onz456 1d ago
Toilet bowls will be made that look like Trump.
His name will be used as a verb to indicate that you have to releave your bowels. In hundreds of years from now, that will be the association. People will have to turn to obscure etymology books in order to find out what it means and learn about a tiny-handed, tiny-dicked, demented American dictator who stood for the worst of mankind.
Let it be so.

u/Botol-Cebok 1d ago
āDamn, I had the biggest trump this morning, had to flush five times.ā Yep thatāll work.

I think āTrumpāing something will mean you took something great and soiled it beyond repair in a very preventable way.
2
7
u/ROMVLVSCAESARXXI 1d ago
I would like to think that at some point, because the name Trump is equivalent to, literal shit š©, that someday, instead of saying āIām about to go take a huge dumpā, theyāll say āIām about to go take a huge Trumpā
Imagine that happening in the accompanying restrooms, next to the gift shop and cafeteria, at the Zelensky Memorial Arch, in Kyivā¦.

5
u/Hairy_Mycologist_945 1d ago
Zelensky will be remembered as one of the greatest world leaders of the 21st century, without a doubt.
That other guy will be remembered in a similar light to other historical villains at best.
2
u/ShittyExchangeAdmin 1d ago
Zelensky strikes me as the kind of leader that wouldn't want a statue made of him.

"I need ammunition, not a ride" This here should get him 75%+ approval rating from Americans.

Approval ratings do not matter.
They hijacked the process. Bots work for them. Elections get manipulated in their favor.
The ultra-rich have a hold on you. Keep you docile.
Men like Zelensky might break the spell.

I don't know if you're both right or wrong but there's gotta be a better way forward.

As much as I dislike how Zelensky is allying himself with unsavory political groups (at least those are collaborating in the lest glamorous parts of the war) he at least has been doing his job for his country. He could have done better here and there, yes, but he is definitely not acting against his countryās interests like the donaldo tramp.

Zelenskyy is working for the benefit ofĀ wallet. Corruption in Ukraine is rampant. Here is a discussion where Ukrainians themselves talk about this https://www.reddit.com/r/ukraine/comments/1p148y0/who_is_andriy_yermak_and_can_ukraines_new/

1
u/Matiwapo 1d ago
This isn't so much misinformation, Ukraine is corrupt in all levels of government and society. But it's disingenuous to blame Zelensky specifically for that and say he's only in it for the money. Whatever reasons he had for getting into office, he's done everything within his power and ability to secure Ukrainian sovereignty, hence why the Russian bots hate him

You donāt have to be pro-Putin to understand that an approval rating from people not living in the country means nothing. Iāll trust the approval rating Ukrainians give Zelenskyy.

u/FblthpLives 1d ago
Zelenskyy's most recent approval rating in Ukraine is 57%: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/ukraine-russia-war-live-trump-putin-zelensky-peace-diesel-deal-b3069610.html
Trump's most recent approval rating is 31%: https://www.reuters.com/world/us/trump-approval-falls-record-low-31-midterms-near-reutersipsos-poll-finds-2026-10-19/
That's a 26-point margin.

u/dealingwithhookers 1d ago
that honestly makes no sense. Trump has a strong support, he is against Zelensky, his support apparently loves Zelensky.
only way for him to win the election is Elon Musk rigged the voting. and should be in prison forever if not executed by firing squad for treason

Why would they even poll this?
1
u/FblthpLives 1d ago
Why wouldn't they? What happens in Ukraine affects the United States and what happens in the United States affect the Ukraine. Currently, Ukrainian troops and civilians are dying because the Trump regime unilaterally cut off Starlink and Starshield: https://www.npr.org/2026/10/18/nx-s1-6007382/ukraine-us-starshield-starlink-what-to-know-trump
For that matter, Trump's approval rating in my home country is 12%, one of the lowest in the world.
1
u/hotfithktitall 1d ago
I liked Biden. The value of my 3 homes and investments nearly doubled in 4 years. With trump they havenāt done much so i hear ya!
1
u/FblthpLives 1d ago
I don't measure quality of life by the value of my home or my investments. My daughter, who is a graduate student in nuclear and particle physics, had no interest of applying to U.S. universities for graduate school and did not even take the GREs. She is now enrolled in a top European university (where she pays zero tuition) and I am so happy for her.
1
u/hotfithktitall 1d ago
And we both can be correct.
1
u/FblthpLives 1d ago
I'm certainly not going to tell you how to enjoy your life. "The value of my 3 homes and investments" just does not resonate with me. It's just not something I value particularly highly and I also think there is a fairly good chance there will be a major market crash and/or recession because of the AI bubble bursting or the emerging sovereign debt crisis or both.
