Although she is clearly an outstanding lawyer, I always think phrases like āan international human rights lawyer who uses legal skills to defence the vulnerableā are so clunky.
It makes her sound like a PokƩmon. Amal used legal skills!

Sounds like me writing my first resume at 14 years old: āUse customer service skills to serve customersā

Her academic history and institutions she graduated from that I didn't and couldn'tattend:
⢠Oxford University: She attended St. Hughās College, Oxford, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Jurisprudence (Oxford's degree in law) in 2000.
⢠New York University (NYU) School of Law: She went on to earn her Master of Laws (LLM) degree from NYU. While studying there, she was awarded the prestigious Jack J. Katz Memorial Award for excellence in entertainment law.
⢠High-Profile Clerkship: During her time at NYU, her academic merit helped her secure a competitive semester-long position as a student law clerk for Sonia Sotomayor, who was then a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals and later became a U.S. Supreme Court Justice.

Amal Clooney served as a special adviser and panel member for International Criminal Court (ICC) Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan, helping evaluate evidence related to the Israeli genocide.

Good for her, shame this theatre of being a bastion of justice also promotes incisive committed by her husbands ābestā friend.

Or maybe successful smart professional women scare you.

I'm scared of myself? That's a new one.
No one who claims this woman is "amazing" because of one AI sentence plastered in front of her photo is not being paid or a bot in some way. I've been on reddit for too long to know how real people react to that stuff. Go home PR machine.

Jesus. The rare person born into privilege who uses it to make the world a better place and someone on Reddit is here to shit on it.

Itās likely a bot. Lots of signs, name with 4 numbers, 4 month account, actively karma farming and sowing dissension, using the cover of hidden history.

Silver spoon? She was a refugee from the Lebanese Civil War. Her father managed a travel company. And her mother a journalist.

And her husband gave us four more years of Trump by forcing Biden out of the race.

I think the world is done with superficial garbage. Sheās financed by evil mothereffers. She doesnāt risk anything! Is she pro genocide in Palestine or not? Yes or no ! She and her husband havenāt said a word! If she doesnāt pass that test, I donāt listen to her. Simple.

I have always wondered how she funds her work. As it would seem she doesn't take on big rich clients to generate the funds to do her charitable work. Genuine question if any knows. I could only guess she comes from a rich family and also friends who fund her work so she doesn't have to worry about earning an income?

u/Montmontagne 6d ago
That literally such an easy google. And you know the foundation itself? They list their funders on the website too! Who would have thought!
Major funders include:
- Gates Foundation
- Ford Foundation
- Charities Aid Foundation America
- Microsoft
- Mew Venture Fund
- Bloomberg Philanthropies
- 10k law firms which have agreed pro-bono work

Not sure why you feel the need to be so rude in your response? I wasn't asking so much about the specific Clooney foundation, rather than her own career as a lawyer and the time she gives to her work which funds her own personal lifestyle and salary.

Itās not being rude. Itās being blunt.
You have the world of information at your fingertips and you choose to not use it.
I gave you the information youāre looking for but maybe next time, try investigating for yourself.
Iāll assume youāre young and basic research skills havenāt been taught to you yet.
