This is so damn accurate. It’s like a bot will repel down from the roof the very second certain topics are broached just to unfurl a #not all men banner.
In topics where a women’s victimization was being discussed, I was suddenly attacked for not discussing and condemning similar assaults made on men by women. It was mystifying, in how it assumed that women were tacitly endorsing such crimes when the thread was universally and unequivocally saying “sexual assault is bad in all cases”. They were desperate to have people derail the conversation of a woman’s assault to talk about men instead.

Maybe he's curious to hear what she has to say. How do you know that those you disagree with get no female interaction?
1
2
u/FredrickTheGr8 9d ago
Notice how disagreement with a woman is immediately reframed as desperation for female attention.
Apparently, a man can't challenge an argument, question someone's reasoning, or engage in debate without secretly wanting sexual validation.
That's a convenient way to dismiss criticism without addressing it.
Rather than defend the argument, simply speculate about the man's romantic life.
But how exactly do you know whether a stranger online receives female attention?
You don't.
Disagreement isn't evidence of sexual frustration, and ridicule isn't a substitute for an argument.

“Not all men” is to women’s issues
Like “all lives matter” is to black peoples issues.

You never see it when men do good things. Or women do bad things. It's only “Not all men” when men need to dodge accountability.

Found one of the bad men.
So let’s get one thing straight.
Men’s issues are valid.
But men are not oppressed in the same way all these other groups.
Women saying “ugh men are trash” is about as far as this is going to go.
They are not saying all men, they are saying A lot of men.
You knew this. You’re just a bad men mad that women speak up

Women expect men to be stronger than them. Vulnerability is punished, identity is disregarded. That’s why the idea of a “fragile male ego” is popular. It’s when a man is not fulfilling the archetypical expectations of society.

I think these memes are great… except it spotlights for me … that women are not allowed to teach men. Maya Angelou asks what we’re teaching our daughters and for forty years we’ve been teaching them to be brave, to take care of themselves, to pursue their dreams, to embrace their fierce energy. But no one has taught the boys anything because the men in charge haven’t contributed a thing to the discussion except backlash … Don’t like your life? Don’t know where you fit? Society’s promises to you ring hollow? Blame the women. Blame the gays. Blame the global majority.

Oh, I get it. I certainly wasn't raised to do better. Thankfully, I've been given a lot of guidance from others.

Masculinity is like wearing shoes three sizes too small, never being allowed to take them off, and blaming everyone else for why your feet hurt.
3
u/Accomplished_Self939 11d ago
That’s good, too! 🤣 But this got me thinking—what should we teach men? Be independent? (Hell yeah, because they’re so damn submissive to other men.) Be curious? (Cuz they think they have all the answer). Embrace empathy? What else …
14
u/Zachwardpass 11d ago
Their worth is not wrapped up in sexual "conquests"—there is so much more to men than that. It is okay to express feelings of sadness, fear, or disappointment without it turning into anger. (<-- women should hear this, too, but society tells men more than woman that anger is the only acceptable "masculine" outward expression of all of these emotions.)

u/midnight_guard99 11d ago edited 11d ago
> Their worth is not wrapped up in sexual "conquests"
Yeah, THIS. It's so important to teach this to young boys. Because many issues manosphere is weaponizing stem from the fact that people look at male-female relationships as some sort of competition.

Men are objectified as purses and breeders but what confuses me the most it's men who love it and cling on it.
Women fought so hard not to be dishwashers, washing machines and baby makers. It took so long to achieve that and it's not exactly universal. I don't know maybe men haven't been hurting as long as women have to come to a realization that it's better to be a human than a thing. Maybe they only unhappy to be purses and breeders then there is no dishwashers, washing machines and baby makers at home.
I hope I'm wrong and men will get better. Some have started to complain about it even if they are directing this anger to wrong crowd.
4
u/PearSufficient4554 11d ago
I think a lot of the issue is that women who are in positions to teach boys are not taken seriously. Have you seen the way that “masculine” boys behave in the classroom?? As soon as girls started being allowed in schools and doing better than boys it was suddenly below them.
2
u/Commercial-Engineer3 9d ago
What are you talking about? Women make up the vast majority of teachers. Men already have experience with women teaching then, and in many cases, they end up getting drugged, and/or told they "should act more like girls", which is not natural or healthy for us. Why would we go for round 2 as adults?
1
u/Hefty_Disaster3370 8d ago
They're asking where the good men are that should be teaching.
It's a fair question.
1
u/bcocoloco 10d ago
If anything the manosphere says “don’t like your life, don’t know where you fit, societies promises ring hollow? It’s probably your fault, take some accountability and better yourself.” But that’s essentially vocal terrorism to women.
0
u/PraireGentleman 10d ago
The men in charge were literally trying to contribute. Women protested men’s suicide awareness events, men’s abuse shelters, and men’s mental health day, all while claiming they are the predominant child caretakers but also somehow not responsible for how the boys turned out because apparently you can only raise someone of the same gender.
You can teach men. But you don’t. You choose to actively protest against their issues then claim they don’t exist

u/Cute_Macaroon_4488 10d ago
Well now we’re having everyone calling for the shut down of fraternities. People think that when men group together they’re just inherently violent, dangerous, or unsafe so they have to shut down the whole idea of organization of men all together.
2
u/Fearless-Feature-830 10d ago
I mean…?
1
u/Cute_Macaroon_4488 10d ago
That’s the point. We recognize men as dangerous, but only to the point of blaming women, immigrants, brown people, poor people, or any other group we want to discriminate against.
Otherwise, it’s hateful or wrong to say groups of men are dangerous and protest against them (simultaneously, she should have known better than to be with a group of men, what did she expect? /s).
We will put harsh restrictions on those groups before we ever were to put any blanket legislation or restriction on just “men” as a group.
-3
u/PunkPirate56364 11d ago
It's not that women weren't allowed to teach boys.
It's that all you tried to teach us is how bad we are and how to serve your goals better. We are not listening to any more of that B.S.
Nice attempt at rewriting history though.

If we exclude my grandmother which belonged to a great generation of women which are gone now, and which gave me some advices aimed at my own benefit.
I cannot remember a single advice from women which wasn't self-serving, aimed at the benefit of women.
You had your liberation, you turned selfish, self-centered, you rejected social norms.
And you are trying to make men conform to social norms which benefit you.
3
u/saintsithney 10d ago
Why do you think we wanted liberation in the first place?
Did you think women would treat basic human rights like a weekend in Vegas, have a hurrah, and then go back to being enslaved?
Why did you prefer your grandmother to legally be a second-class citizen? Was your grandfather too pathetic to attract a woman if he didn't get to own one?
Why should women conform to social norms that actively enslaved us? Just because men constantly show their bellies to men higher up on the food chain doesn't mean women are that naturally submissive.
1
u/ThinkRise845 10d ago
You had your liberation because you never fought nor earned anything, therefore didn't deserve more. And yet, you received your liberation on a silver platter. Now you're entitled to the world, drunk and deluded on a victim complex. Wonder why you haven't earned shit for yourselves before.
2
u/saintsithney 10d ago
A woman grew you at risk to her own life and health 🤡
0
u/ThinkRise845 10d ago
...and? That's biological function. A woman would've birthed me regardless if she was liberated or not, same as they did throughout the entire human history.
It's clear you're not well equipped enough to carry a conversation.
1
u/saintsithney 10d ago
You wouldn't exist at all, but you don't think that is "earning" anything.
Why do men love to brag about being exploitative parasites? Can't you try being an adult for a change and see if you like it?
1
u/ThinkRise845 10d ago
Any woman can spread her legs, get fucked, then birth a new human roughly 9 months later. You can't do it alone. Never have, never will. Throughout history, those are the 9 riskiest months of a woman's life. Reduced mobility, endurance, very vulnerable, mostly incapable of fending for themselves. The man did that. The men took care of them, constructed shelter for them, brought them food, washed them, comforted them, provided and nurtured. Same in modern day society, where most if not all the logistical chains and facilities that women benefit from were created and maintained by men.
The relationship between men and women is a mutually beneficial, complementary one. Purely synergistic in nature. The only parasites around are "people" like you that can't process the world around them accurately, so they reinvent it in their heads. You're not a victim and you have no virtue.

My grandma was a second class citizen because she was being oppressed by fascists, and instead of whining to men to fix her problems for her. She joined partisan movement and fought on front lines with my grandfather.
Then she didn't whined about social norms enslaving her, because she was a fair and just woman, and social norms were fair and just. Instead she raised five children with her husband and she got to enjoy all privileges which came with those social norms.
Modern women chose to reject those social norms. Okay, you go and do as you please.
Why the fuck do you keep nagging for the privileges you do not deserve anymore?
4
u/saintsithney 10d ago
They were never fair or just: they just extracted from women to give to men.
Why do you think you are owed a slave?
2
u/PunkPirate56364 10d ago
They were never fair or just: they just extracted from women to give to men.
If my grandma was alive she would had laughed at your face. She wasn't a victim, she was a fighter. She wasn't being extracted, she was providing for her family with her husband, and then she was being provided for by her family.
Who is going to provide for you when you become old?
Government by extracting from kids other people raised.
You think that is fair?
Why do you think you are owed a slave?
You feminists really have some weird fetish about being dominated by men. Your most watched porn category is men dominating women.
I'm not interested in those kinks, I don't want a slave.
3
u/saintsithney 10d ago
Why couldn't your grandfather raise the children? Could she legally say "No, I am not in the mood tonight?" Could she go do something just for herself without someone else demanding she do work for them so they didn't have to?
Why do you think a life of drudgery to someone who is statistically likely to be less intelligent than you is desirable at all?
The entire point of a government is to provide for all the citizens living under it, not for it to behave like a man and extract all the labor and value out of its citizenry to make itself more comfortable.
I don't know why some women are into domination porn. I also don't know why men love to brag about being parasites.
2
u/PunkPirate56364 10d ago
Why couldn't your grandfather raise the children? Could she legally say "No, I am not in the mood tonight?" Could she go do something just for herself without someone else demanding she do work for them so they didn't have to?
Grandfather had his hands full working in shipyard, commuting and fishing to get additional income. If grandmother had to do those things then you would cry a river for how much she had to work. And of course grandmother could do all those things, she wasn't a slave, they were partners.
Why do you think a life of drudgery to someone who is statistically likely to be less intelligent than you is desirable at all?
Well don't be a SAHM, and don't be a SAHM to a guy less intelligent then you. Duh.
Also today we have electricity, running water, wash machine, dishwasher machine, drying machine, robot vacuum cleaners. I'm single and I do all my chores quickly and easily, why would I want a woman staying in home all day to do those?
The entire point of a government is to provide for all the citizens living under it, not for it to behave like a man and extract all the labor and value out of its citizenry to make itself more comfortable.
You want a government to take from others and provide from you. To play the role of village with none of the downsides.
Also proves my point about feminists being deeply unfair.
I don't know why some women are into domination porn.
I's the most liked porn category for women.
You are obsessed with it, always talking about being slaves, being oppressed, forced into sex. You fetishize history into being some version of The Handmaid's Tale.
You suddenly switch conversations to "oh why would you want me to be your slave. Would I be allowed to say no to sex?"
It's so deeply weird.

Yes, is that surprising?
Women advocated for male only conscription during the 1970s. They still maintain it, and don’t talk about ending it
5
u/PearSufficient4554 10d ago
Ever think about doing something about serving your own interests instead of expecting a woman to do the work??
I tried looking this fact up but all the results were about mothers fighting to end the draft for their sons, anti draft movements, and debates to keep women out of the army due to sexism. I don’t doubt that many women would be against adding women to the draft, if they are against the draft
1
u/Zealousideal_Bar6871 10d ago
To be fair the draft (Selective Service) thing is way more complicated then just men vs women. The big misconception is that it was tied to voting rights, that was not the original idea behind it. Voting rights were tied to race, gender, and owning property, not Selective Service.
Since the votes on this in 2016,2021, and 2024 do not signify gender of those who voted its basically impossible to tell. But each time adding women to the selective service requirement has come up it gets shot down. There is a cross section of people shooting it down for various reasons including religion, and even opposing anyone being in Selective Service.
So some reference to get more in depth. I will add the following.
- Support for including women came from lawmakers (including female Democrats and some Republicans like Rep. Chrissy Houlahan, an Air Force veteran who sponsored the 2021 House amendment) who argued that full military equality means equal civic obligations.
- Opposition or reluctance came from a mix of conservative lawmakers (male and female) who opposed expanding the draft entirely or objected to conscripting women on traditional or religious grounds, as well as some progressive/anti-war groups and lawmakers who preferred abolishing the Selective Service System altogether rather than expanding it
4
u/whatevernamedontcare 10d ago
If you actually care about history you'd know feminist made it possible for women to enter army in the first place. It's men who want male only conscription. That's why current government in US is kicking out all that don't fit into "a man" category.
If you're going to lie at least make it believable.
2
u/PearSufficient4554 10d ago
It’s not his fault!
Clearly every night when his mom tucked him into bed she whispered in his ear “you deserve to be drafted when you grow up, and I’m going to make sure of that while also working against women having the same national obligations because men are scum.”
I mean obviously, or else how else would pointing out that the male draft exists have literally anything to do with what women taught him as a kid 🤷♀️
3
u/Cute_Macaroon_4488 10d ago
If I recall, I believe feminists movements were actually heavily against conscription specifically. Basically if you want soldiers to your war, there should be enough incentive to join rather than be forced into it.
2
u/Kooky-Beyond-3244 10d ago
There was literally a study done in the UK where boys and girls were given disgusting food and had to tell the woman who made it what they thought.
The average 5 year old girl knew to hem and haw, and work around how gross it was to spare the other persons feelings. The average 5 year old boy told the woman who made the food how gross it was, didn’t listen when she tried to explain why it was gross and had zero empathy when it was pointed out that they had hurt her feelings.
Maybe it’s that boys and men on average don’t actually listen to women and have very little empathy for women to begin with.
2
u/coporate 10d ago
So honesty is bad? I get having empathy, but lying is not empathy, it’s antithetical to being empathetic because it undermines agency.
→ More replies (8)3
u/PunkPirate56364 10d ago
Children are not very developed when it comes to empathy. Could it be that girls were working out around to avoid social consequences.
Anyways studies do show that even though women self-report higher levels of empathy, actually both genders have same level of empathy.
But women also receive greater empathy then men do.
There is another important difference.
When women see cheaters getting punished for their action, they feel empathy.
Men feel pleasure.
Men will not feel empathy for women when they feel woman is suffering consequences of her own action.
Women will.
2
u/Kooky-Beyond-3244 10d ago
Both genders have the same capacity for empathy, yes. And yes, small children are incredibly self focused, which is why the study was to show what socialization was already in place by age 5 when it comes to empathy.
Girls/women are socialized to put everyone else’s feelings above themselves, even at a detriment to their own well being.
Boys/men are socialized to put their feelings above anyone else, even when they know they could be hurting someone.
This is the video of some reactions per the study, if you’re interested:
https://youtu.be/-fxWgQv1Dhk?feature=shared
We should be teaching all children that kindness matters but should not come at the expense of yourself. Women have been curbing this for little girls for decades now. Men should be doing the same for little boys.
Editing to also say- it’s a pillar of the patriarchy that men should be stoic and don’t need to be supported. It is a tenet of feminism to dismantle that.
3
u/PunkPirate56364 10d ago
Some feminists decided that biology doesn't matter and all these differences are due to social conditioning. Ignoring all science like some kind of flat earthers or anti-vaxers.
Men do have 50% higher baseline serotonin levels in brains.
Serotonin effects are, mood stabilization, it helps reduce anxiety, feelings of depression, and overall emotional distress. Lowers sensitivity to losses, punishments, or unpleasant stress outcomes.
So boys care less about these negative outcomes, punishment, unpleasant stress. And behave more like little jerks.
And girls which care more about these negative outcomes, punishment, unpleasant stress. Are more disciplined,
Then puberty comes and throw in some testosterone for the boys. Now they become competitive too and take risks.
These feminists which ignore science whine about us conditioning boys into being assertive and becoming rich CEO's, while girls are being curbed.
Not, boys are simply primed into being assertive, taking risks which does make them climb into positions of CEO's.
But also due to these behaviors men are way more likely to end up homeless or in prison.
Feminists are not complaining about the lack of diversity in prisons.
1
u/Kooky-Beyond-3244 10d ago
But socialization is a huge part of it, you can’t deny that.
And you can TEACH boys to stop and think. Is what I’m about to do ok? Is what I’m about to say ok? How will my actions and words affect those around me?
I think, for boys and men especially, we excuse a lot of behavior by saying “they’re just like that”, completely ignoring that as a species we overcome our biology all the time with socialization. I’m a woman who has been socialized into the “girl boss” because of the effect of feminists and women in the 90s. I was socialized to value myself more than others.
1
u/PunkPirate56364 10d ago
I’m a woman who has been socialized into the “girl boss” because of the effect of feminists and women in the 90s. I was socialized to value myself more than others.
And now you want us to raise boys into being considerate, kind...
Fuck that shit.
These are liberal times. We reject those old traditional, conservative social norms, which oppress young men with expectations of kindness, chivalry consideration and all those other dark age bullshit.
We liberate men from those. We raise them into men bosses, we teach them to value themselves more then others.

Because of that the comparison falls apart.

In the same way food on the ground manipulates dogs into eating it.
Inceldom is the path of least resistance for NEETs who are incapable of taking responsibility for their own life.
I never contradicted myself, and there is no social benefit in coming out as trans, and you haven’t been able to prove there is.

1
u/serendipia1984 10d ago
It's not the norm. Rather the opposite, universities still use men's work for about 90% of the curriculum, and anti-women propaganda is on the rise both on social media and in politic trends. Men just need a reason to feel like victims in a system design by and for them.
7
u/NeverHere762 10d ago
Pretty sure the curricula and professorship crowd regularly demonize men.
3
u/PedanticBaddie 10d ago
They talk about how men have oppressed women to highlight the challenges that women have faced. Science is a great example of how women have just been wiped from the record but actually had very significant contributions to the field. It’s because men didn’t want to give women rights. This is an objective take and if you find it offensive then that says a lot about you. Criticizing the oppressor doesn’t make them the victim.
1
u/Wulfrath 10d ago
I can't speak for the guy above but I don't think what you are saying is false, I just don't think it applies anymore?
At least its not as common as it was or as common as they make it out to be. Not only are there plenty of women in power and plenty of women behind papers and research but there's actually no way to prevent a lot of women from doing their paper and research unlike before. You can just publish the thing right now and sue if some dude tries to steal ur thing. Its a different matter if that was being disregarded cuz "its a woman".
Even you here are talking about the past in this reply "men didn't want to give women rights" ok sure but they have them now so are they just gonna use those rights to get back at men for the idk how much time of oppression? If the answer is yes then sure go ahead I suppose...
1
u/PedanticBaddie 9d ago edited 9d ago
If you think women and men have an even playing field in society then you aren’t paying attention. Just because it isn’t as bad as it once was, doesn’t mean that we should just stop talking about it. Criticizing the oppressor doesn’t make them a victim. Discussing women’s issues is not getting back at men.
1
u/Wulfrath 9d ago

1
u/PedanticBaddie 9d ago
I didn’t say you hate anything… I’m saying that no one is getting back at men.
1
u/Wulfrath 8d ago
Thats not why I said that, I also did not mean to say that you in particular were hating something or that women(as a general) were getting back at men. No one is getting back at anything for the most part in this comment section but here's the thing, I am not good enough with words to explain things if thats not obvious enough but lets use this example:
-Theres an oppressor group and and oppressed group
-Oppressed group manages to get power either because oppressor group allows them or there's some sort of change(i believe it was the industrial revolution but eh).
-There is some semblance of balance going on but as always there's the extremists and the people who want things to go back to their advantage in the oppressor group and the people who understandably have the grudge in the oppressed group(or simply go to far with things despite having good reasons)-The oppressed are allowed to push through and get things out of balance, mainly out of a fear of speaking out by the previous oppressors due to guilt. Doesn't really matter the reason.
The result of this is that the extremists in the oppressor group are now feeling validated and are using that as leverage to not only gain power but to bring things the way they were before.
Now this is not a man vs woman only thing, you can see this in a lot of things nowadays but to avoid politics I will stop here. There are women who take things too far and they are validating the men who take things too far. This doesn't mean women are being mutilated or used as near slaves as they were before, yes there is oppression but when you tell someone in the US or Canada(can't speak for the rest of the world) that women are being treated like slaves and that the patriarchy this or that non stop they will get pissed off regardless of their values.
In my company alone, and I checked this before writing easily half if not more of the employees are female with 3 out of the (i think) 7 Chiefs of whatever being female. That's not the balance of someone being oppressed.Anecdotal experience or not I don't think its a unique situation. Yes there's female oppression but no it doesn't require a massive conflict like its portrayed sometimes.
South America on the other hand... yeah you guys should probably fight for women down there, thats from experience.2

Pretty sure the curricula and professorship crowd regularly demonize men.
Any source on this, or is this a "trust me bro" situation?

Well, here's an article from the Montreal Review. Not Fox News, not Breitbart, but hippie dippy Canada. https://www.themontrealreview.com/2009/Academia-Doesnt-Have-a-Clue-About-Men.php
2
u/m3gb0t 10d ago
We are counting as essay from eight years ago called ACADEMIA DOESN’T HAVE A CLUE ABOUT MEN as a reliable source?
Let's look at the first two paragraphs:
There is no correct academic view of men in the contemporary world, and hence no theoretical vocabulary for considering them that seems anything other than wrong to most men, who deal with this fact by turning away and refusing to engage. This gives the talkers the mistaken impression that they have won the battle. They haven’t. Men have just walked away, usually in disgust, and at best with disinterest.
This is so because virtually all contemporary theoretical considerations of masculinity in North America are offshoots of feminist and “queer” or Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) theory, and indeed, are invariably housed in university departments of women’s studies as an add-on, where they are placed under the rubric of “gender studies.” Men are viewed as imperfect women, an interesting reversal of the way, according to Thomas Laqueur in “Solitary Sex,” women were medically viewed as versions of men from the Renaissance through the Victorians, with the clitoris a form of penis and the ovaries like oddly placed testicles.
This is the opposite of a non-biased source, regardless of country of origin.

Explain how men are demonized when it is just women talking about their experiences
3
u/NeverHere762 10d ago
The internet is full of women sitting in their cars making TikTok videos about how men are trash.
1
u/Rogue_bae 10d ago
Do you want me to link you to men killing women every single fucking day? Men are not victims of women. You’re fucking whining that you are being held to account
1
u/NeverHere762 10d ago
Pretty sure men kill other men and not just women.
1
u/Orange-Is-Best-Color 10d ago
You... you do realize that makes it even worse, right?
1
u/NeverHere762 10d ago
The point is that women do not have a monopoly on victim hood at the hands of men.
1
u/LaFlammeAzur 10d ago
Too many men commiting suicide after a divorce for this to be true.
You REALLY do not want to take this discussion into the "accountability" thing.
This really is the main problem actually, we've been all out on the equality thin for decades. Unfortunately it seems accountability is holding up to responsabilities is still reserved for one gender.
It's showing a little too much for comfort at this point.1
u/Curious_Bee_5326 9d ago
And what do you think the manosphere is? Its men talking about their experiences.

How is asking men to be held accountable for their actions “anti men”?

No, as in Mary Koss, "expert academic" on SA says men can't be raped by women.

this whole gender war just feels like a pendulum to me. It initially swong too hard to one side, it kinda found balance for a bit then swong too hard to the other side... and now its coming back with the whole alpha male stuff going on.

Trying to calmly pick apart the intricacies and objective subtleties of a situation when the lizard brain underneath human instinct wants to rip things apart.

Its almost as if people (not unlike or even like yourself) have a complete inability to rationally approach the nuance of a situation when you're reeeeeeeeeeee'ing about something that has your knickers in a knot.
I'm so glad I stumbled in here. My gut hurts lmao - I guess we're all hypocrites sometimes.

Folks misunderstanding “No means no” are just willful criminals.

I never understand this logic. People who do bad things aren't simply ignorant, as if someone had just explained the concept of consent they would have behaved. They know what they are doing is wrong and don't care, and think they can get away with it

Ah yes, the obligatory caricature of the Manosphere.
Notice how understanding intersexual dynamics, developing masculine competence, and questioning feminist narratives are conveniently repackaged as wanting "power over women."
This is how you delegitimize an argument without ever having to address it.
The Manosphere isn't a single ideology. It's an assortment of communities with different philosophies, disagreements, and objectives.
The Rational Male has never been about teaching men to control women. It's about teaching men to understand their own interests, recognize relationship dynamics, and develop an internal sense of value independent of female approval.
Emotional discipline isn't emotional repression. Financial independence isn't oppression. Physical fitness isn't misogyny. And refusing to pedestalize women isn't hatred.
But apparently, a man developing autonomy becomes threatening the moment he stops organizing his identity around female expectations.
The objective isn't power over women. It's sovereignty over yourself.
And that distinction seems to terrify the people writing these definitions.

u/ThinkRise845 10d ago
Ah, we're using the gospel of the sage... Taylor Swift, to endorse feminazism now. Neat.

1st of all I'm not from the US
2nd of all did not most white women vote for Trump too?
You keep making weird excuses to justify your blind hate though. You know damn well that the system will support you in doing so
2
u/Manders44 10d ago
It’s not “blind hate” to point out the problems with patriarchy.
And LOL that the system in any way supports feminism. Certainly it doesn’t in the US. You’re denying reality, just like Trumpers do.
And nobody is forcing you to be here.
2
u/Gvendoga 10d ago
Patriarchy hasn't since the enactment of no fault divorce and Trump is pro-women more than he is pro-men. I would even go as far as saying he's actually leaning more anti-male
3
u/Lost-Promise6677 10d ago
Trump is anti-"everyone who isn't himself" tbh. Wouldnt ever go so far as to call him "pro-women" though LOL, very interested in hearing that reasoning please
1
u/Gvendoga 10d ago
Men are always hit the hardest by unstable job markets, job cuts and job shortages. Therefore, trump's reckless handling of the economy is an attack primarly on the male population
2
u/Lost-Promise6677 10d ago
How isn't that also an equal attack on the female population?
1
1
u/Gvendoga 10d ago
Female dominated jobs are much more resistant to becoming obsolete. Even if they do, employers will continue to hire women over men just to keep them from falling through the cracks, without any regard for men's wellbeing
2
u/Lost-Promise6677 10d ago
In my area, male labor is much more desired than female labor. There are very few jobs I can think of in danger of becoming obsolete, and they're neither male nor female dominated. What jobs are you referring to?

Like if I am say pro vanilla ice cream on a vanilla ice cream hating sub, it wouldn't be an appropriate place.
Although given the "text tip" thats appearing as I write this, I am gussing this isnt a sub of free speech, healthy discussions, or open mindedness. So I am going to see myself out.

It's apparently better to be killed in the most brutal way than to have drunk sex with one or more men you are into.
1
u/EvenPoser 9d ago
I think your comment is too blunt or something, I believe it will be downvoted. Perhaps, a better wording is preferable?
1
u/Ferengsten 9d ago
I think putting female neuroticism and narcissism over truth is how we got into this whole mess in the first place. Yes, I expect it will be downvoted too.
1
u/EvenPoser 9d ago
But we don't know the truth about this case? Well, at least not yet.
1
u/Ferengsten 9d ago
We don't know all evidence, but I am pretty sure I do know the truth whether it would have been better for Cornell girl to be mauled to death by a bear either way. I am also pretty sure the legal default is "innocent until proven guilty" for good reason.
1
u/EvenPoser 9d ago
That's why I say that we don't know and that we should wait.
I agree that death by bear claws is worse.
1
u/Ferengsten 9d ago
Well it seems some people have a problem waiting, including OP. You might also say that if there is not even a criminal case, that among like 500 other things makes it implausible that those men will be found criminally guilty.

Its interesting that the femenist know their movement will not succed without buy in from men. Its a movement that ONLY works if men willingly share power/participate if men say no there is literally nothing women can do, When al queda regained power they just stripped women of all their rights and woman could do nothing about it. Feminist ideas will never work in Islam or Africa unless there is alot of bloodshed done by men in order to overthrow the "patriachy"The greatest Irony is that in the west the og femenists used the bible as the main argument, Christianty teaches men and woman are equal have equal worth because humans are made in the image of God, its speaks about free will and self autonmy Men/husbands should love their wives they way that Christ loves the church with a sacrificial love putting her needs first and so on.

u/Recent_Safe4951 8d ago
Would have so much more respect for hardcore feminists if they more accurately called it a motherhood pay gap rather a gender pay gap, because its pretty clear that childless women match or exceed male income numbers by age group

I used to believe that feminism was synonymous with equality, but I don’t think anyone believes that anymore
13
u/beerandglitter 11d ago
I mean, any feminist I know believes that to be true tbh, me included. But also the patriarchy is very real and the manosphere/red pill/especially back pill content is so freaking harmful.

u/Pitiful_Awareness_48 11d ago
Maybe I am misunderstanding the word equality? I think equality should be for every instance. Every genders should be drafted if there is ever a war. Every genders should pay for dates. Every genders should have equal opportunities for high level positions. Every genders should have the right to vote, to have a say for their on body, etc.
Sure the manosphere and the patriarchy exists, but so do misandrists and the man hating women movement. You can’t call out the bad parts of one gender without calling out the other while maintaining equality
→ More replies (33)3
u/Pure-Spare-9789 10d ago
Every genders should be drafted if there is ever a war.
Nobody should be drafted. Feminists don't want anyone drafted. It's extremely weird to use this as a point against feminists considering we don't want anyone drafted, and the draft was created by men and is currently in place still because of other men. If feminists had the ability to change this, they would outright eliminate it. This is not a point against feminism, this is a point against men.
Every genders should pay for dates.
If you think feminists are pushing for men to pay for dates, then you know even less about feminism than I thought. The reason men pay for most dates historically is because the subjugation of women meant they had less economic freedom to pay for things like that. They were trapped by society and forced to marry men unless they wanted to live in squalor for the rest of their lives.
Every genders should have equal opportunities for high level positions.
Yes, they should, but they don't. How many CEOs or other high level executives are women? How many women have been president of the US? How many heads of state around the world are men vs women?
Every genders should have the right to vote, to have a say for their on body, etc.
... Yeah, how is this a point against feminism exactly? Considering the are foundational feminist beliefs?
Sure the manosphere and the patriarchy exists, but so do misandrists and the man hating women movement. You can’t call out the bad parts of one gender without calling out the other while maintaining equality
Feminism is about dismantling the patriarchy, not making sure every woman alive is nice to men. If you supposedly believe in equality so badly, why aren't you making sure every man is nice to women? Is that like an impossible task or something?
Because if you recognize that's impossible, then ask yourself why you expect feminists to do the same for women.

Nope. We're still the same as we ever were.
Incidentally, did you know that men who were against women's rights back in the 1800's accused suffragettes of the exact same thing?
Like, there's propaganda posters where the "evil suffragettes" cruelly force their innocent husbands to slavishly do household work because they hated men so much. (Like, there's layers of irony there.)
It's a very old and very tired accusation. Do better.
