Idk what title to use, but I’m doing this for a school assignment that’s due Friday, and I think I did well, but idk what else to add to make it look nice, but my teacher said he doesn’t care if it looks bad since we’re just beginners.

Has anyone else experienced this? When I'm searching my saved files within the Photoshop app on Mac, it takes an age to load and the app becomes very laggy. It's only started happening recently and I'm just wondering whether if there is a fix.

I’m trying to do my own YouTube thumbnails, I’ve been buying them but how difficult is it to learn something along the lines of this? Would it take months of learning?
Is there any tutorials that anyone can recommend?

So im making a music video collage and i want to export the image but when i try to export it, it loses the color the image has and some of the textures I had on the image im using Version 27.11 for Photoshop and ive seen some people with some pretty vibrant designs so is it something with my settings or what can it be?

I used an image of my tarantula (the second photo) and an image of a sarcophagus as a base. Then, I cut out the spider, "wrapped" bandages around its legs, combined everything into a single Smart Object, and placed it onto the sarcophagus. After that, I worked on the composition to ensure everything looked harmonious.
And that’s about it.
It was fun :D
However, I found it difficult to get the shadows from the spider's legs right. I’ve never been good at drawing shadows :/

[SOLVED] I was just exporting small png files, but Photoshop keeps on loading and freezing every export. And when I use the exported PNG file to illustrator, it crashes it as well. What should I do?
What I'm using: MacBook Air M4 16GB/512GB (MacOS Tahoe 26.7.1)
Photoshop: Version 27.11 (Latest)
I already did the following:
Yet the crash is still there. It wasn't like this before. Please help
EDIT: Nevermind, solved it just by installing the Version 27.9.1 back. All smooth again. I'm not sure if the problem is in the current version or it's not compatible on my laptop

Hi everyone,
For about a week now, I’ve been having this issue with Photoshop’s Generative Fill. As you can see in the image, whenever I use it, the result comes out completely blurry.
I used this tool quite often and had never experienced this before. Does anyone know what might be causing this or how to fix it?

It's informative and hilarious and dane cook even makes a cameo in one episode where he beats the shit out of the creator.

Looking to buy a Lenovo (I get a discount).
I think I need a powerful dedicated graphics card, 32 GB RAM, and 1TB of memory.
I WOULD like a touch screen (way too used to these now) and a decent screen I can color calibrate with my Spyder. I would also like to be able to replace things like the battery myself.
I was given two quotes so far. I like the ThinkPad, but the Graphics are integrated, not dedicated. That is my one hangup.
The second is a very overpowered device (Legion), but may be more future proof (I also don't think it is touch, glare reduced for when I do outdoor events/editing, and the battery seems internal.
Any Lenovo options I am missing?
Attached are the quotes, the Legion ends up being only about $50 more with the discounts FYI, the screenshot is cut off.
I'd love to spend $1.5k but will go up to $2k if I need to.
I also like to do mild gaming- older games like Heroes of Might and Magic and Skyrim, nothing online or over the top graphics/responsiveness.

Hi everyone!
I’d like to recreate this artwork using different colors, ideally with the ability to adjust them through the Shading Tool options.
I made the first step creating in Photoshop using a personal glass filter texture to achieve the wavy effect, but I’m struggling to reproduce the subtle purple gradients along the edges.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could achieve this effect?
Thank you so much in advance for your help!

If I paint in Clip Studio, Krita, etc, it feels buttery smooth. My monitor can do 170Hz, but in Photoshop it looks and feels like my monitor is locked at a much lower refresh rate. Not necessarily "laggy" but choppy idk. I don't think it was like this before I updated. What the hell is going on?
EDIT PC Specs:
Windows 11 64 bit
Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, Game Ready driver v617.42
Intel Core i7 12700F
AOC Agon AG273QG Freesync Monitor (tried turning Gsync on and off for photoshop, on and off globally, disabled on the monitor itself to no avail.)
32GB DDR5
T-FORCE TM8FPP002T NVMe SSD
XP-Pen Deco Pro 2 XLW using WinTab
Photoshop version 27.11

Unfortunately, this has been around for 10+ years.
For the specific situation of using CROP to increase the canvas size (proportionally, based on CROP dimension settings), and then using MARQUEE to select an area on the edge (dragging PAST the edge), leaves a ONE-PIXEL un-painted hairline at the edge. To get it to fill in, i have to select the (same) area, and then nudge the selection PAST the border edge, then it fills in. If multiple edges are involved, I am able to select a rectangle almost to the edges and INVERT the SELECTION, and fill--that usually works except oddly for the r.h. edge.
The use of CROP with dimensional constraints (ex: 8x10 inches) is done to adjust size and positioning of an image in preparation for printing directly from Photoshop.
Even when typing explicit dimensions in Inches rather than ratios, this issue still boils down to how Photoshop converts physical measurements into digital pixels.
That 1-pixel gap points directly to a calculation quirk in Photoshop's layout engine:
Supposedly What Triggers This Behavior

First i modelled all pieces in illustrator and again i exported all the 3D parts as obj files and i imported it into the 3D program.
and i transformed it into an illustration using some effects
Yes, now it has no value thanks to artificial intelligence, but it's just a a try
sorry render quality is low
thanks:)

Hi,
So as of pretty recently, I've been having issues with Photoshop 2026 where it randomly and intermittently makes the cintiq monitor I use it on become way brighter, and then goes back to its normal brightness levels after a few moments (it's less of a "screen flicker" and more like someone instantaneously and momentarily changed my monitor to a way higher brightness level before going back to its normal levels).
I can't seem to pinpoint a specific trigger but unticking GPU related options doesn't seem to help, I don't have gsync options, and I can't find many posts online talking about an actual solution that works for a similar issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Since about 3 days ago, whenever I try to save a file, the progress bar stops at 83% or 84% (sometimes it stops in the 90’s). Before this, my files would save within seconds. This is true even with my larger files. It does, however, always end up saving after 5 minutes (+-10 seconds) after my windows task bar and monitor background refreshes and disappears for a second. Even when I force close photoshop, my monitor and taskbar still disappears so I assume the process continues. Once it does save after 5 minutes, I can save normally like I did before and have it be done within a couple seconds. The issue then repeats after waiting longer when I have to save again.
I've tried resetting prefs, changing photoshop versions, reinstalling photoshop, updating drivers, saving as a new file, creating a new file and moving all the layers over, merging all the layers, and trying to save with the "save in background" settings on and off. I have also not done any major setting changes to my pc since before this started. I try to save as psd and they do not have any smart objects nor smart filters. My pc is not close to losing space and I have 32GB of RAM.

Any ideas?

I’m trying to create an image where a chopstick is pulling noodles from a bowl, but the noodles swoop in an “s“ shape before reaching the chopstick. I have images of the bowl itself, chopstick holding noodles, and noodles themselves but none are the motion I want and the noodles aren’t long enough.
What would be the best way to go about extending the noodles in a smooth curvy path? Preferably without using generative AI.

Just finished working on this Porsche poster concept in Photoshop.
I wanted to create a dark, aggressive red atmosphere while keeping the design clean and premium. The idea behind the concept was “Silence the Streets.”
Would love to hear your honest feedback — what would you improve? 👀
