"I go [to school] to learn, because when I grow up, I want to become a journalist," says Shaymaa, 14.
Amid escalating threats to their safety and access to education, more than 860,000 children like her returned to school across the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, last month.
UNICEF and partners are providing remedial and catch-up education, psychosocial support, transportation, and protective measures to access school.
We are also supporting children and families through education-related cash assistance, legal aid, school rehabilitation, and restoring safe learning environments.
Children's right to education must be protected.

This is honestly funny. They come up with these lies all they want about Hamas, but it’s nothing but baseless nonsense.
And even if there are people out there that hate Hamas or claim Hamas is a “terrorist organization”, I think we can all agree that Israelis are the worst of humanity.

I live in Gaza, and I’m worried about what is happening to our food supply.
Over the past weeks, many essential goods have disappeared from local markets, especially vegetables. Other items have become more expensive, making it increasingly difficult for families to afford even basic food.
With commercial supplies disrupted and food assistance being reduced, many people are afraid that we are heading toward another catastrophic food crisis. We have already experienced what happens when food becomes scarce and prices rise beyond what ordinary families can afford.
This is not just about statistics. It is about families trying to find something to cook for their children, while even basic ingredients are becoming difficult to find.
We are afraid of going through this all over again. People in Gaza need a reliable supply of food and affordable prices, not another crisis that the world notices only when it is too late.

2000, Gaza.
Faris is barely 14 years old in this photo. He’s standing in front of an enormous israeli tank, all alone. He is holding a stone the size of his fist, and he finally decides to use it.
His mum and dad are always telling him off for skipping school to take part in demonstrations during the Second Intifada. They keep telling him he is irresponsible, that he should be studying instead of fighting. “It’s dangerous!” they shout at him. They will tell this to a journalist in an interview years later.
But he refuses to listen.
The IOF soldiers who had tormented him for months had viciously killed his beloved uncle, and he simply could not understand why. Why all this hatred? Why does nobody stop them?
What is pain?
What is this feeling twisting his stomach?
Throughout his short life, Faris had known nothing but destruction and death.
And so, for a child like him, it’s easier to walk around with little stones in his pockets and throw them at the giant that hurts him. After all, what harm could it be? All you can do is tickle the monster, but at least for a moment, you push back the helplessness that overwhelms you.
But no. Faris that day throws his stone and dies under the zionists’ fire.
From that moment on he’s no longer harmless.
From that day forward, he becomes eternal, a symbol of Resistance and identity.
From that very moment, he will never have to be brave alone again.

This is the same location where multiple Israeli terrorist soldiers attacked Palestinian and American journalist before destroying multiple olive trees.

From Breaking the Silence, a group that speaks out against IDF atrocities and is threatened with deportation by government.
This is how the IDF responded to an Israeli activist reporting an attack on Palestinians by settler terrorists in Wadi Rahim, the West Bank: first mocking her, then hanging up on her. Two days ago, when European diplomats were attacked near Taybeh, the IDF ignored activists’ reports altogether. In both cases, the IDF offered a bureaucratic excuse for failing to fulfil its direct responsibility. The military, however, hasn’t failed. In fact, it has been quite successful in carrying out its established policy.
Every day, settler terrorists, funded by the state, injure people, slaughter animals, burn mosques and homes, uproot trees, and destroy property. They kill Palestinians and mostly get away with it. If, on the other hand, a Palestinian teenager throws a stone at the attackers, soldiers are authorised to use lethal force to “eliminate the threat.” Backing settler terrorists is the IDF’s policy.

So far, there is no update on liberal Zionist Brad Lander or anyone else who been detained in West Bank, Palestine. But I assume they might’ve been as well.
