I always liked going up to my Dad’s cat, Morris, and his tail will always be straight up and so I go “Nice to meet you, sir!” and shake his tail gently lmao

Why so rough? It isn't a dog. Poor thing also needs to be put on a diet

One of my cats likes to be handled rougher than both of my large dogs combined. If I tried that shit on my other cat who likes very gentle handling I’d be short a finger or two by now. Every cat is different and if they don’t like it, they WILL let you know. This cat clearly doesn’t mind the rough handling

He slapped the cat's belly and it rolled over to protect it.

Man knows nothing about cats and just assumes. You know what they say about people who assume?

Speaking of knowing nothing, you're making big assumptions here. I love cats, and you don't hit them on a sensitive area like that - and why would you tug on their legs?
This person over feeds the cat as well, which is basically abuse. This is not something to coo over.

I’m not, I have plenty of cats. My mom runs a rescue. You know nothing. And I beat my cat plenty, if you do it right they experience no pain. You’re desperately clinging onto anything to try to make a point, making some pretty massive assumptions, proving you are who they talk about when people talk about those who make assumptions.

Nah, if the cat had a problem they wouldn’t be rolling over, they’d become quite pointy lol

Animal abuse

What are you saying is abuse?

u/tacoflavoredkeesos 2h ago
The health condition is abhorrent

So yeah, while it is certainly factual that letting a pet be obese can be considered abuse/neglect, there’s a better way to approach someone about it. Commenting “animal abuse” without actually clarifying what you are referring to or sharing information on why you are claiming abuse or how to make positive change or just any sort of kindness or openness is most certainly not the way you’re gonna get through to someone, which I hope would be your goal in calling it out. If you’re just morally jerking yourself off, then enjoy the downvotes and have a good one. But if you actually want to see change, try better next time or move along and leave it to the people who are willing to approach with kindness and spreading information. Take care.

approach a moron taking videos of their pet that is obese, whilst joking and mucking how obese their pet is, and then posting the video online on a platform that is supposed to be funny videos?!
One way to approach this, and it is with this cunt not having the right to have a pet.

So much hostility and aggression in this comment, sheesh. This is an example of what I was referring to of how not to approach this. I’m sorry that this was clearly very upsetting for you, I hope your day gets better.

With love and coming from a fat cat owner as well, please put that wonderful chunkamuffin on a diet so you have the best chance of keeping him around for a long time
