A small part of the sunglasses are visible through walls. WH, built into the game.

This is my gameplay footage. No I don't use hacks.
You will need to see this on full screen resolution (4k) - we're looking at about a 2x2 black pixel group that moves across the screen. Not sure if it'll be visible after reddit compression.
Same video on yt, just select 4k. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQtiult9aPY

No, I have no idea how to reproduce this. And yes, I'm naughty because as soon as I realised it was happening, I fired. Think this was my last match for the season, can't play when the game has bugs like this.

I tried reporting it to bulkhead, but I just get put into a bot queue. :-/

Tarkov had a similar issue where glasses gave a shilouette through everything; even in total darkness you could see a CLEAR render of the glasses. There was a 2 year period where no one would wear them. Even the AI enemies could be seen in total darkness because of it.

The fact that you noticed it is impressive. My eyes are not that good, I had to rewatch many times.

Im with you on this. Im older now and my eyes aren't what they used to be. If you can see this in the heat of battle, more power to you imo.

And the decal from the Iron Sight actually clips with the gun itself lol

u/ILOVEANIMALSSSSSSS 12h ago

I will never be able to unsee this. 🖕

Iron sight, the red-dot circle clips into the gun. never noticed this before.

I like how you say “I can’t play with bugs like this” It’s literally an early access game? They have even acknowledged that there will be bugs. It’s literally the whole point of early access.

u/BlindMancs 12h ago

Yah, but I don't have to play against wall hacks, that are literally just bugs in the game.
I'll pass until next season, what else am I supposed to do? Play in an environment where any corner can be prefired potentially?

Play something else for a while

u/BlindMancs 11h ago

That's what I'll do? Not sure how else can you comprehend my statement on "can't play when the game has bugs like this"?

1

u/Silly-Friendship1877 5h ago

But first you needed to make a Reddit post to announce your departure like this is an airport?

2

u/Patzkeet 11h ago

lol your acting like every gun fight is going to have this issue. It’s a great find by you and it’s good to report it but also 98% of people won’t even be able to follow that small nudge through a wall.

Yes some will exploit it and it sucks but it’s not like every encounter will be like this.

what else am I supposed to do?

Trying to be less sweaty about deaths I guess? Even if this is commonly abused / happening to everyone (which I doubt, I never saw that but I've instantly spotted it in your video), it's just a death.

I think you fundamentally dont understand what early access game means. Go read up the definition and come back. We'll wait.

How the fuck do you even notice this lmao

u/Andromeda_1001 17h ago

its moving. the human eyes are built for movement.

1

u/ZacatariThanos 14h ago

movement ANY type of movement your eyes will pick it up its ridiculous how smige a move can be you still pick it up

1

u/BlunderingFun 16h ago

In many games I react to birds in the sky, but here it`s something else entirely, right before your eyes - it`s impossible not see it 4real

2

u/Flappie010 14h ago

Holy shit. I had multiple times where i thought i saw something in a wall. This might be it.

1

u/Fantastic-Country-51 11h ago

same, now we know

3

u/cumjuggler4life 11h ago

But how did the other guy know to pre fire??? OP almost lost a gunfight he had advantage in.

1

u/poliuy 4h ago

Both guys are sus. The movement to begin firing before anything has crested the wall is sus.

1

u/Bozzer_89 18h ago

I seen it on my s24 no need for 4k 🤷

9

u/BlindMancs 18h ago

Maybe the one time circling something actually helps. 😄
I had trouble with it at default 720p resolutions. That's all.

1

u/Bozzer_89 18h ago

It sure did but I seen it tbf anywhere.

1

u/imsorryisuck 18h ago

you really don't need to explain yourself on why you fired. what were you suppose to do? die?

1

u/FC_unknown 17h ago

This issue is also present for smoke clouds for lonestar. You can see sunglasses in smoke when over 100 meters away.

1

u/AlbatrossSuspicious7 17h ago

I've been playing too many games with random bugs that crawl on the ground/ walls and stuff. I saw that and thought "wow this game has bugs crawling on the walls and stuff? The developers really pay attention to detail."

1

u/CopiumCheck 16h ago

Same thing happens through smoke

1

u/Abadon_U 15h ago

This game rivals cyberpunk in amount of bugs

3

u/Lord_Dorlord 8h ago

Cyberpunk was not an Early access game, It was supposed to be a finished product...

1

u/NorvileRogers258 6h ago

Technically it was "early access" because CDPR were forced to release it early and weren't given the time they wanted to continue working on the game.

1

u/Hot-Owl6610 5h ago

No it absolutely doesn't. What a crazy comparison. Release Cyberpunk had systems that were completely non-functional and bricked the game. It has dozens of quests that could give your save a failstate, it had dozes upon dozens of visual glitches. The police system didn't work at all.

Stop capping to undermine the game.

u/Lower_Concept1565 15h ago

you got some really good eyes

1

u/someuser931 14h ago

I wonder if i`ve been caught out like that ? I often get killed as if by a prefire

1

u/BladeVampire1 13h ago

Cant see jack on my phone.

1

u/PheIix 10h ago

I got the drop on some guy in a ghillie because his ghillie kept poking through the wall. I've shot people through walls because their ass and backpack were clipping through it. Don't hug the wall too closely, especially if you're trying to sneak or hide.

1

u/Acrobatic_Cry9983 9h ago

"Youre definitely cheating."
-That guy Probably

1

u/scumbag_slayer 7h ago

crazy but are we not gonna talk about the red ring? smh my head

-3

u/OldNecessary814 18h ago

Yeah thats normal, how many times i ve seen parts of clothing pass through walls or corners

12

u/BlindMancs 18h ago

That's not what's on the video. The 3d model clipping through thin metal walls is a separate thing.
This is not object clipping through - this is somebit about the character being rendered over everything else in the 3d engine.

2

u/Frequent_Macaron9595 17h ago

Are you sure he isn’t already facing the wall getting ready to prefire and what you see is the tip of the barrel clipping?

1

u/BlindMancs 17h ago

Pause the clip at 9 seconds, where I placed the highlight circle. Make sense of why the black spot is there. I'm 100% sure.

3

u/Frequent_Macaron9595 17h ago

Oh shit was very hard to see on mobile!
That reminds me of the famous sunglasses issue on Tarkov where we could see pair of sunglasses through the fog.

-6

u/OldNecessary814 18h ago

That guy was HUGGING the wall as he ran your way, sure its unfair but its not cheating and its not a big issue, just dont hug walls that tightly

1

u/MrGrick 17h ago

There is a lot more thay would be protruding through the wall if this was a clipping issue. Its clearly a consistent shape that can be seen rendered over the wall pixels.

6

u/Klexal 18h ago

He's not clipping the wall, though.

-8

u/OldNecessary814 18h ago

But the sunglasses were

7

u/BlindMancs 18h ago edited 18h ago

Yes, and you think that the sunglasses are the must "outside" part of the model.
Which it isn't.

Clipping means models overlap. For it to clip, you'd have to have that 2x2 part constantly clip over the wall. It makes zero sense.

Edit: also these are not thin walls. You'd need to put your whole body through the wall.

-1

u/OldNecessary814 18h ago

No, but maybe something in the code is making the gun model not pass through but the sunglasses were forgotten or missed when coding that, clearly you can see the sunglasses appear from within the wall and move along side it

0

u/Echo_ghost 9h ago

I have seen a lot of wall clipping. I have been shot through walls because my ass was poking out.
