Edit: Honestly did not know how common these were for younger people. 🤯

Its like a comet that runs across the bottom of my eye. Yes I've been to the doctor, they made sure my retna didnt detach and then they told me the gel in my eye is getting old and drying out 😫

Fascinating. I too have gotten random flashes. Always thought that was a me issue. 😂

Pay attention to it, they said the flash thing happens as you age, but if its accompanied by a lot of floaters it could be a tear in your retina

I’ll schedule an appointment by end of year. Thank you!

Please make sure you had a dilated eye exam and have an OD or MD document this. Super important to monitor, so it doesn't result in vision loss.

I’ve dealt with this twice and both times, it lasted for months. Happened to me at the same time of year both times so I think it has to do a bit with allergies too. Also noticed a ton of floaters to where it almost looked like a screen over my eye. Ever since then I make sure to roll my eyes in every direction atleast 3 times a day to keep that gel from sittin in the same spot.. The doctors never gave me an answer on the actual cause so I jumped to my own conclusions and some elder wisdom/common sense for the solutions (less screen time, stay hydrated and get out into natural light more often). It’s been a few years since I had them now but my guards still up.

Wow, I mentioned it to my eye doctor and she said she didn't see anything but I straight up have the same floaters for 3 years now.

It was very challenging having to adjust. Having that obstruction in vision is just... ugh. I want to say it was harder than my adjusting to getting tinnitus 16 years ago.

I hope our eyes get healthier or just not get worse!
