I can't afford my mental health medications anymore, so I just took an extra rip off the weed vape.

u/Sepherin 14d ago

Same. Also they were turning my brain into soup.

I struggle with moderation precisely because the “gifted kid” left over in my brain is still fucking angry about how this world turned out, and I did everything right but none of it turned out and now while high I’m still more functional than some government officials. Moderate? Why? What’s the point?

Core millenial here, that's basically how I feel as well, was a honor roll student, got good grades, ate my veggies and did everything mummy said basically. Only had dead-end jobs that kill me inside and a pretty much useless 4 year uni education. World and society is going to hell, recession after recession. Like can we get a break dude? And I'm in northern europe, not the US or anything.

Some? You are literate, and actually produced something [this statement], you could be most of their leaders!

I just stopped vaping and switched to mental health meds because the vape was turning my brain into soup

Guess it's soup all the way down

Looks like soup’s back on the menu, boys!

I seriously went from various types of mental health meds, to a weed vape, to probiotics (fridge not shelf). I thought it was bullshit but 3 months into "correcting your gut health fixes your mental health" theory testing it actually started to work. Without changing anything else my diet slowly changed too (no late night sweets cravings) and I've lost weight I've been working on forever. My brains less soup for sure and the loss of sunlight isnt making me want to die this year. Feed the healthy gut bacteria friends it'll fix your brain (mostly).

What'd you do? Bottle of 'buch' every day?

1

u/Frequent-Meal6550 13d ago

Theres like these little shots of probiotic goo(?) near where you'd find yogurt at Walmart. Its a dollar for a week of shots. I hate them but they work.

u/ThingYea 13d ago

What? I love those but I always think they are too expensive! Never seen prices close to a dollar for 7 where I live

u/Frequent-Meal6550 13d ago

BioSalud and yakult are the 2 in my fridge. One tastes better one textures better.

I find when I’m trying to escape bullshit weed instantly does not become enough.
Smoking weed is like having whiskey or beer, it’s great in moderation, becomes part of the problem if not respected.

You take meds, but are exercising? I ask because everyone I know that is on anxiety medication/ anti depressants absolutely hate the idea of physical exertion.
Not saying that is you but I’m surrounded by people who are using pharmaceutical drugs in place of personal health responsibility.

I love that everyone that takes brain drugs says how great they are until they aren't.

Yeah, Seroquel really changed me overnight and I thought I found "The One".

Then I got tardive dyskensia from it and licked my mouth and teeth until they hurt. My legs were twitching so much that the only way I could fall asleep was to pace around my bed for an hour or so until I was exhausted enough to sleep.

It didn't go away until 5 months after I stopped taking it.

I'll stick with the weed.

I had to stop one medication because I swear to God I started experiencing life like I was playing GTA from the third person perspective.

It was so off-putting

u/Mertoot 13d ago

$20 potent ones cannot be good for the body, especially the mind.

Oh noo 😐

1

u/melesor 14d ago

for me it made me feel like a robot. Adderall, Zyprexa, Seroquel, Abilify, Lexapro, Zoloft and Cymbalta all before I was 16. Nothing seemed to work but now I know I maaayyybe have AuDHD and not whatever the hell they think I had back then.

2

u/Catkingpin 13d ago

I had to order more suboxone because my pediatrician put me on oxy

1

u/iconofsin_ 14d ago

Can't even do that because jobs in Missouri still test.

edit: some nights I just don't sleep because of an old football injury that flares up in my shoulder. The only thing that's ever helped it was weed and I'm not even talking about getting high. One low dose gummy that i can't even feel a high from would let me get 8 straight hours but fuck me right?

2oz Everclear

0.75 oz honey

0.5 oz cranberry juice

0.5 oz lemon juice

Combine in a shaker and dry shake (no ice) thoroughly to integrate the honey. Check to make sure it's mixed in, then add ice and shake again. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with a cherry

The "Harder Daddy" cocktail. You're welcome

im on 150s. i was originally on 2x that. gave me way too much anxiety. would not suggest

11

u/GumballQuarters 14d ago

Not me depressionmaxing and ripping 2x 200s loving it. Welly B has saved my life.

2

u/_Bad_Spell_Checker_ 14d ago

I assume you space them out, one in the morning and one at lunch or something?

3

u/GumballQuarters 14d ago

No, both in the morning. They’re sustained release which I would imagine is why I’m not tweaking out.

I’m also several years into it and have gone up from one 150 once a day.

I remember when I first started and my psych was saying that other people would notice differences before I did.

Maybe 30 minutes after that first one I was reborn. Brain chemistry is wild.

u/Groundbreaking_Bad 14d ago

I'm on 300 and loving it. Even if I can't stop bouncing my leg for 3 hours straight in the morning 🫨✨

u/Tutitutitutituti 13d ago

Double? I’ve been popping those things like orange tic-tacs.
