Question Transfer to btech?

First year eng and i dont think its for me, can i switch to btech from year 2? Would that mean that i would have to repeat an extra year?

any help or advice would be appreciated thank you

It likely would. I graduated from BTech but I looked into switching out of it in first year (thankful I didn’t), but the answer I got is the classes don’t translate nicely so you’d have to start over.

BTech is great tho fwiw
