discussion Rape

Rape is a very big issue that needs to be taken care of, it can't be completely eradicated and providing strict laws for convicted rapists is something that should be mandatory, but now my question is, considering how for a man, being found guilty of rape is technically a life altering occurrence and your life will be full of negative outcomes from society to corporate life which as a rapist is actually deserved because our women need to be protected, now it comes down to false rape accusations, if rape is capable of ruining a man's life, what do you think the punishment for women who falsely accuse innocent men should be? Because we can't let someone ruin a life and just walk free, so what do you guys think the perfect punishment is?

I really have no kind words for people who host websites here in Malawi.

Anthu inuyo you provide poor services, the services you offer are very parallel to the state of technology these days.

If you are using technologies like Python and Node.js, uyiwale the great performance your website was giving at localhost.

And for us who build micro services, timalira because ma ports ambiri on your servers amakhala oseka.

El Niño and Malawi’s Education Sector: Who Is Looking Out for the Students?

With El Niño bringing extreme heat, are Malawi’s schools adapting to protect students?

Here in Lilongwe, overcrowded classrooms are already a concern. Imagine over 80 learners packed into a small, poorly ventilated room. Research on Malawi’s education system has documented severe classroom overcrowding and its impact on learning.

discussion Posting photos on social media ?

Chat last week I saw a post on X talking about women who post themselves on social media, saying women who constantly post themselves and are not Creatives or Celebrities are selling and the posting is like an advert.

And some say if a girl is posting herself all of the sudden it means there's a new guy in her life.

what are your thoughts on someone constantly posting themselves?

Charity and Volunteer work in Lilongwe

I really want to like do some volunteer or charity work but I struggle to find an organisation or club in this city to start with. I don't hold any previous experience so those that I do apply for when they release a "Call for Volunteers" end up rejecting (they don't give feedback).

I'd be also willing to start one but I don't have any friends or circle for that too. I just want to network more but don't know where to start.

Something insane happened today

So today at my home, some MCs came to live out their names and to perform, so some ended up snorting Coca-Cola to act insane. But that was before my brother Pete rocked it all. Now that they are gone on the mental plane, trying to spark the brain with the building to be born, we ended up asking our cousin RZA to flip the track and give it all he had.

general Is it a good idea to have sex the first time you meet someone? 👀 NSFW

I’m curious about people’s experiences and opinions. If you meet someone for the first time in person and the chemistry is strong, would you be comfortable having sex on the first meeting, or would you prefer to wait until you know them better?

For those who have done it, how was the experience? Did it bring you closer, or did things become awkward afterward?

No judgment here — I just want to hear honest opinions and real experiences. 👀🔥

Are there any people in this country?, & how do you navigate it? Do u freely tell people that you don’t believe when they’re talking to you about religion or do you just pretend so you don’t get called demonic or a satanist?. Also what made you stop believing (for those who believed in the first place)?, & for those with religious parents, how do they feel about it?

DON’T COMMENT IF YOU BELIEVE. Nonbelievers only.

Tech Coffee meetup & Chat in Blantyre

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone would want to organize a small meetup of Software Engineers, robotics engineers or AI related tech careers in Blantyre, basically just tech related professionals and grab a coffee at a place like Joes Cafe and just talk tech, share ideas, brainstorm, update each other on trends, these would be actual working professionals, not hobbyists or people looking to get into tech, I don't think people want to teach but chat with peers in tech, if interested, please let me know, Ladies and Gentlemen all welcome, also I will not buy you coffee, you should be working and able to afford it

We deserve better as a country

I understand there are procurement deals that happen with these big projects and the change of government has affected these projects but for once we need ti think as people some projects are more important than politics and as citizens we deserve better

With the new government almost all big projects have stopped in lilongwe area 49 road zero progress but and citizens citizens are the ones suffering the same people who voted, salima water project is down and citizens are suffering every day with water issues. Is that bosses who make decisions to stop these projects are not affected? Look at the area 25 road heavy dust every i dont even know how it will be during rain season it's too much guys

I forget my place
until the room tilts
and your keys start speaking for you.

I lower my voice.
I lift what’s breaking,
I set my pride down
where you won’t trip over it.

I learn the words
that settle your breathing,
the ones that make you stay.
I spend them wisely.

You leave pauses
like fingerprints on the air.
I wipe them clean.
Call it love.

You teach me
without teaching me
how close a door
can come
to becoming absence.

So I start counting.
Not chances.
Steps.

And one day you turn again,
certain my hands are waiting.
But nothing
will reach back.

AI songs trending in Malawi

I think a lot of you have noticed how AI songs are trending in Malawi. There's this guy called "Agulugufe", he's producing AI songs. He recently released a song titled "Mukalowa" (a gospel song I suppose, though I don't agree with the whole concept). In just 3 weeks the song has managed to get about 1 million views. Should we say people listen to these songs with full knowledge that they're AI generated or out of ignorance? And what does this say about our country? Should we just embrace it as a new normal?

from the collected data, this is what the top earners are looking like.

p.s. data is still very limited and probably this willl look different once we get to like 10,000 entries.
