I recently ordered $150+ worth of products, including Ultraviolet Bouquet loose pigment and Playful Spring multichrome lip gloss from Question Beauty, and both were pretty disappointing compared to the website photos.

Ultraviolet Bouquet ($28.90 for 1 gram!) is advertised as a vibrant, nearly opaque purple with a blue shift. In reality, it's extremely sheer. Even after THREE layers over NYX Glitter Primer, applied with my finger, it's basically scattered blue-violet sparkle with almost no base color.

Playful Spring looks like a gorgeous fuchsia with green-gold shifts in their photos, but on me it's overwhelmingly copper-orange and green. I even tried it over a cool pink lip tint with little improvement.

I contacted customer service and sent photos showing the differences. They gave me the standard explanation about multichromes looking different depending on lighting, skin tone, etc., which I already understand. But they never answered whether their promotional swatches used colored bases or additional products.

Their solution? A $10 discount on my NEXT purchase. 🙄

I'm not saying the products are ugly, but they're nothing like what I thought I was buying. For these prices, I expected more accurate photos and a better response from customer service.

I definitely won't be repurchasing.

For mod purposes there is no beauty filter, no portrait mode, no enhancement, just the sun thanks!!

Colorful palettes today seem to fall into one of two categories: massive artistry palettes or "color story" palettes (ie all pinks, all neons, all ​multichromes, etc). Drugstore palettes used to be king here but even they have given into the clean girl aesthetic. Everything is beige, brown, or rose gold adjacent. I obviously can't buy vintage because...hygiene. Do you know any purse friendly palettes that are similar to the ones pictured? I'm not after the Party City 80s costume vibe. I'm looking for something like what regular people wore.

Hello!!!! I want to start exploring with color and am looking for some help! I found blend bunny on TikTok, but haven’t found many non sponsored reviews so I thought I’d ask here.

Questions:
1. Are these 3 blend bunny pallets a good start for colorful makeup? Or are there better brands with a similar price point? (these 3 pallets are $160 total)
2. Is the rotten eyeshadow pallet good for more sultry/night time makeup? Or is there a better alternative?

I’m black and brown skinned and want all the colors in a pallet to show up on me/not look ashy.

My hope with this purchase is to get well rounded makeup pallets that would fit every look I’d want to try!! I feel like the combination of these 3 pallets should fall into every category.

I do a full face makeup regularly, but don’t have anything colorful outside of blush.

My routine= prep with my normal skincare routine and use the following:

Milk Grippy Primer
Armani silk luminous 4.1
Mario Mario sculpting bronzer in medium
dasique Soft Veil Blush
Both Kosas concealer in 3.2o and Natasha D concealer in Y1
Then I spray setting spray with milani or charlotte tilsburry
I follow up with CT finishing powder in medium under the eyes, either Sephora los cabos bronzer or nyx or makeup by Mario sculpting powder, saie highlighter, rimmel exaggerate black eyeliner, Nyx blush & one size powder melt

Edit to add: I do embrace my curls! My hair is just a hot mess in these pictures, idk why I didn’t notice it before posting lol just a lazy hair day at home.

i haven’t played around with my makeup in a long time but i’m going dressed as a bat for halloween this year and i wanted to get creative with it. testing out some looks with my new colourpop palette i got. i also want to attempt a more gothic look so i tried making my foundation whiter but i feel like i didn’t do it right? idk maybe i should try a cooler contour to get that gothic/vampire look? open to suggestions!

Can anyone recommend me a cool plum lipstick in a similar colour to my nails? Ideally something reasonably hydrating and at the matte-satin end of the spectrum. Bonus points if it's a European brand as I live in Spain :) Gracias!

As you can see in the photo on the left (with fake lashes) my lashes look like they are going down compared to on the right (real lashes) they look normal. The not quite symmetrical eyeliner isn't helping either but ignore that haha it also looks like that without eyeliner.

am I applying the lashes wrong? I put the glue on, wait for it to dry a bit (like 20 seconds), put it on above my real lashes and hold till it sticks.

is the placement wrong? ive tried putting them more towards the inner corner of my eyes but then the inner corner of the lashes lift and I cant get it to stick down.

These two lovely ladies worked with me last year and saved my life more times than I can count. I’m leaving my job soon, and I’d really love to give each of them a MAC lipstick as a goodbye gift (they mentioned they like the brand).

My skin tone is very different from theirs, so I’m a bit clueless when it comes to choosing shades that would suit them. The first picture has a filter, but both women have a complexion similar to the one in the second picture.

These are the only pictures I have of them wearing makeup, so I was wondering if you could help me find some flattering shade options similar to the ones they are wearing. I’d really appreciate it!

Hiii! im 19 almost 20 and I’ve never wore any heavy makeup before besides mascara and some lipgloss and recently I’ve been having thoughts of using makeup because i have a date but i know that some type of makeup doesn’t suit to everyone so i wanted to know before trying anything what type of makeup do you guys think would suit my features the most? Tbh I love this Pat McGrath blush in the shade divine rose. But, now I’m thinking of trying a new brand. Any brand suggestions? Like should I go for drugstore brands like Nyx and Elf, or maybe try NARS?

I usually get pale when the the weather starts to get cold but I’m definitely warm during the summer time. so I don’t know if I should stick with warm make up or go neutral druing the colder months

I sort feel like the shimmer makes my oily skin look even shinier but maybe I’m just not used to it?
