Wish I was this pumped about anything popculture wise. Dude loves his Wolverine

Tbf, Logan is the best movie to ever come out of that universe. It’s to HJ’s credit that he’s equally at ease being half naked eye candy in the earlier films and a depressed man trying to take care of his family unit as best as he can in Logan.

Saw HJ on broadway in the Music Man. Until then I didn’t understand what separated a super star actor from just good.
I legit forgot he was acting several times during the show. He embodied the role so wholly it felt like it was just him up there having fun and saying lines. It was so believable.
Only after did I realize there’s no way Hugh Jackmans “normal” personality was Harold Hill.
Truly a remarkable talent.

I think he killed it in Pan. I was not expecting evil clown pirates and him singing Nirvana in a mine. Hook had always been my very favorite movie, Hugh easily got me on Team Pan. He's such a great talent and good human in general. There are few people with his talent who can keep their ego in check. Here's to many more years of seeing mastery of his craft and bringing magic into our lives.

He’s a great actor. He’s likely not a great person. Cheats on his wife and is best friends with Robert Murdoch, even performing at Murdoch’s birthday party last year.
Murdoch owns Fox News and News Corp, aka the “Intolerant Hate News” programs. They’ve been buddies for 2 decades. Jackman is just the Aussie Tom Cruise. They both drank the koolaid.

My wife and I saw him during the opening week of Music Man and the standing ovation he got the first time he showed his face felt like an eternity.....then he started acting and we were just immediately blown away by his talent. It was crazy seeing the difference between him and everyone else on stage even though they are all Broadway level performers.

Logan was indeed a departure from both the standard in superhero films at the time as well as Canon for the actual story. That said, it brought a ton of emotional depth to Logan as a character, and humanized him in ways that we didn't expect. And in the end, he did what he has always done, fought and protected those he loved...to the bitter end. Love him or hate him...he was what he said, the best at what he does.

Logan, Deadpool and Wolverine, and Days of Future Past were all pretty great Wolverine movies.

u/More-Camera2515 6h ago
Logan was the perfect film to end it on. Days of Future Past is also rather good in a different way

He's gotta be pump until 90 years old. I'm sure by age 60 he'll be like the party slug from Futurama going "im so tired, so very tired"

I dunno, you just gotta be in the right environment.
I've never met a celebrity, but was once in a mall when Kid Laroi was there (who? Exactly) bit I got hyped for some reason because there was such a commotion. "I gotta see the thing everyone around me wants to see!" (I didnt see him).

This really does never get old

I love how he just basically says to himself, “alright, I gotta give this dude a hug.”
You could tell Jackman was smitten himself over the fan.
It’s such an awesome video. I like the version where it has the dude’s camera footage at the end of this footage.

Find that man’s phone. It might have Hugh Jackman’s DNA on it and then we can clone him so he can keep playing Wolverine forever.
Forever.

All we need is a healthy ovum and we can grow our own Hugh Jackman!

u/Kind_Of_A_Dick 4h ago
Let’s crowd source this.
Ok, everyone; who wants Hugh Jackman inside of them?

There's a whole movie that tells us what happens when you clone Wolverine. It doesn't go well.

It'll be easy to do, the man is an influencer and this was a preplanned thing to promote the movie

Will someone tell me if this is a Rickroll or not?
2
u/ConfusedFormalGuy 1h ago
Worst. It's the gore version in which Rick Astley gets murdered. That video completely ruined my day. I can't believe people think that's funny

Hold up.... is Hugh Jackman a drummer???

u/erradickwizard 9h ago
Not just a drummer. He plays multiple instruments and can sing pretty damn well. Not as good as me when im alone in the car though

Keanu is untouched. He is what people see as a kind human.
Jackman seems like a cool dude but he has his ex wife implying he cheated on her and he is close friends with Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump and Rupert Murdoch.
But to be fair he’s probably a fun guy to meet if you’re a fan.
3
u/TheKeelKnotSeas78 9h ago
Ryan Reynolds and his wife are pieces of work too and they're all in the same circle. Basically, fuck these people and fuck the rich. Im guessing Hugh's PR department needed to earn their wage today

I remember Jackman was at SDCC to promote Van Helsing. There was a guy doing a fantastic Logan cosplay wandering around. During the panel, Hugh mentioned he had seen the guy. The cosplayer stood up in the crowd and called out to Hugh. He called the guy up to the front, jumped off the stage and gave the Logan a giant bear hug. It was awesome!!

He seems like the most lovely human being.

u/Decoy_78 8h ago
Oh yes, that is Hugh Jackman, the very good friend of Rupert Murdoch, Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump. What a role model.
4
u/Crazylawyer80 4h ago
Hugh Jackman performed at a private 95th birthday celebration for billionaire media mogul Rupert Murdoch.
Fuck this pos.
5
u/reebokhightops 3h ago
He also performed at a private dinner at Mar-A-Lago shortly after Trump’s reelection.

Unfortunately there’s so much shit to boycott, you gotta pick and choose what you can go without.
And I don’t think I can go without Hugh jackmans wolverine.

It really is too bad. Real Steel is a guilty pleasure movie of mine and now it just doesn't hit the same. :/

His good deed cancel out the bad ones. At least, to me. If I hold people to moral standards this high, there won’t be many left. I might be downvoted, because the internet loves gotcha moments.
-8
u/shark-off 3h ago
Like you wouldn't do it in his place, if given the chance
4
u/reebokhightops 3h ago
Would you? Because if so that’s hilarious.
1
u/Jaimzell 2h ago
I would. But I have zero artistic skills, so me performing there would probably be an insult to everyone there.
2
u/ghastlypxl 4h ago
This made me BEAM. He will ALWAYS be Wolverine to me. And I love that he loves it!

I saw a play with Hugh Jackman a few months ago (who was absolutely phenomenal!) and now I regret not trying to do something similar with Hugh.. I sat pretty close to the stage.

Kinda love how it looked like the guy thought Hugh was going in for the hand clap/shake, only to realize he was opening his arms for a hug.

I just came through open-heart surgery. I’ve survived a broken leg. Got a rod in there…
I fancy myself of having a little wolverine blood so this so motivating🦂

I wish to have that much joy over anything in my life as this man has for wolverine (and Hugh Jackman)

Either way, awesome 😎

And then he went on to start the first alpha male boot camp where dudes scream in your face
-2
u/W8ting-4-it 8h ago
No, it got old years ago when it started to be chronically reposted all over Reddit. Just like today.
2
u/yummypoot 8h ago
First time I've seen it.
-3
u/W8ting-4-it 8h ago
And that doesnt mean anything.
Too many are too lazy to do a simple search on this site before posting something (especially on sub with "no reposts" rules). If OP, or you did, youd see this shit going back at least 6 Years

I love Hugh so much. He deserves all his success
3
u/groovemonkey 8h ago
Meh. He’s got a questionable friend group.
That can say a lot about a person.
I like his movies generally.
So that sucks.
