Only a teacher not a principal, but I would love this. THose are some quality memories for life.

Our class teacher once allowed the whole class to camp in her garden when we were like 15. We'd grill and play with her little kids. The only rules were basically no alcohol or any other drugs, stay safe and behave.

It was such a great time and she was very beloved.

A couple of years ago we randomly met me at a bookstore and addressed me with my full name and the hugest smile before I even saw her. It's been almost 20 years and knowing someone remembers you like that makes me feel all fuzzy inside.

My wife was a kindergarten teacher for many years. It made her so happy when she would see her former students years later and the recognized her. She always, always remembered the students name.

My daughter is in 4th now, but will never forget her 1st grade teacher. And that teacher, I don't think, will ever forget my daughter. It is a great bond. Big smiles and hugs when they see each other
