I'm sitting here with my 11 year old girl crying all over her beautiful gray face. I don't know what I'm going to do when she leaves me.

My baby is going to be 16 in December. The color has been kissed off of her face, she can no longer hear me tell her how much I love her, and she can’t see very well. But she knows she’s loved, and when her time comes, I hope I’m here with her so that she breaks my heart into a million pieces with me next to her, showing my sweet puppy how much her humans love her

I hope my family one day puts a little plaque on the arm rest near my butt indentation in the couch 😭

As a dog lover myself, I think I would keep that even if I bought that house.
Something about knowing a dog was loved makes the house a home.

I would hope if they move they could remove it and take it with them, but if not I hope the next owner appreciates as you would

I can’t force myself to adopt a dog. I know I couldn’t handle their leaving me.
I have several stray dogs that come outside my gate, wanting to play with me. One of them got hit by a speeding motorcycle and his front leg is now totally broken. It’s been three weeks and i still cry everytime i remember him. What more if one of them die. What more if they are my dogs.

My dog passed away on Monday. I was a mess all day Sunday (knowing she was being put asleep the next day) and Monday.
I still cry everyday now, just less often. But, I get through knowing I gave her the best life I could and remembering the good times we had together. Sometimes I think that maybe I wouldn't be here myself if it wasn't for her.
I miss her so, so much. At the same time, I'm really glad that I got to be her person, for her entire life.

This is exactly what happened with my dad. I had one dog growing up because when our golden, Zeus, died dad was so heartbroken he couldn’t bear to go through it again. Eventually a random street cat adopted my dad (who didn’t really care for cats) and they became best buds but dad has outlived him, too. Now he just has the neighborhood cats he takes care of when they come strolling into his garage while he’s working on his motorcycle.

😭 My sweet boi passed on last December. A week before Christmas. I'll never be the same. Idk if I'll ever be able to love another dog now. My heart is forever broken.

My golden had a seizure in the yard and when he walked back into the house knocked a new canvas on the ground and left his foot prints. He passed the next day. I still have the canvas after 15 years. This video reminded me of him.
