✊ Agitate. Educate. Organize. RESIST “National Breast Cancer Awareness Month!”

Thumbnail tandfonline.com

This October, I fortunately haven’t run into much pink, but when I do, it disgusts me. I personally know people who have fought cancer as recently as this year, and capitalism has used a debilitating and soul-sucking disease as a liberal cultural performance, a productivity check, and a public advertising stunt.

October was designated National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in 1984 (hmm, what an ironic year for that to happen) by “Zeneca, a subsidiary of Imperial Chemical Industries Limited. Zeneca is an international pharmaceutical company that has merged and demerged since 1912 with such chemical corporations as DuPont, Imperial Chemical Industries Limited (ICI), Merck, and Astra. Now called AstraZeneca, it is one of the world’s top three pharmaceutical companies.”

“(Astra)Zeneca’s initial justification for NBCAM was one of basic accounting, not a critique of how women’s healthcare has been assessed or implemented nor a desire to prevent women from developing breast cancer; instead, it was cost-effective for a company to detect cancer in its employees during the disease’s earlier stages.”

““Your best protection,” in other words, could be interpreted as an attempt to constitute a public in response to employers’ interest in profit and productivity.”

So spread the word, make art pieces, organize a tour of local places infected by environmental racism and sexism! The more we educate the people, the more the people can do.

It’s pretty funny that this quote has to be used in reference to France… again.

🚨 ACAB Riot police throws tear gas inside a metro station in Athens during operating hours

The student protest in Athens completed on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, with violent suppression, as police forces unleashed attacks using tear gas and stun grenades against protesters.

In fact, in footage posted on Instagram by user pi_kappaa, a riot police officer blindly throws tear gas inside the entrance of the Omonoia metro station during operating hours, with the obvious intention of injuring anyone entering or exiting the station at that moment.

In a display of provocative indifference, the police officer is then seen making an ironic salute, proud of his criminal act in front of the cameras of photojournalists and reporters.

The fact that the officer felt safe to attack like this, knowing he was being recorded, reveals something even worse: that he is not afraid. He does not fear any punishment, suggesting a deeper belief that he can act without consequences. This sense of immunity is the most dangerous element of his behavior, because he knows that the system rarely touches "its own." In fact, every now and then, it rewards them with new bonuses. This sense of impunity and the rewarding of violence form the backdrop for the escalation of police brutality.

This specific example of yet another incident of police violence is not law enforcement, but criminal violence in its clearest form.

The other critical question, as always, is: since not all police officers are the same, what did his colleagues do when they saw this happening?

And finally, the real question is not "who will be punished, and if," but what we tolerate. Because as long as we remain silent, as long as the video plays for a few minutes on social media and then gets lost in the news feed, the rift will deepen in the dignity of a society that has stopped being outraged by what it sees, by what it lives through.

📰 News Bodycam footage of the pig who murdered a 1 year old baby.

People stealing diapers is a failure of the state to begin with. Employees calling the cops on someone stealing diapers is repulsive and puts the blood on their hands as well. Pigs stepping in front of a moving car is incompetence. Firing into a car with other innocent passengers and a visible child isn't just incompetence but malicious intent to kill innocence.

Capitalism has killed tens of millions of people. And under Capitalism the state will protect capital above the lives of civilians and even babies. This business' profits from diaper sells were more important than the life of a baby.

Hopefully the employee can't sleep at night knowing he has blood on his hands and he's unable to live with himself. Hopefully all of these pigs names are released by the news and they are held responsible for murder.

Edit: The entire Senatobia Police Department needs to be shut down, investigated, and have anyone involved here thrown in a prison. The Attorney General of mississippi  Lynn Fitch should also be thrown into a prison for using her position of power to protect these pigs.

📰 News Medicaid funding cuts - $6B in WA

WA is set to lose $6B in Medicaid funding for the poor and the sick. Many states have a few $billion shortfall in Medicaid funding due to Federal cuts. You’re told we need to save money. Yet here’s this one guy -Elon- with 1,010 billions of dollars. He thought you’d be entertained by a jumping car instead of having affordable food, fuel, healthcare, housing, and medicine.

One man could help the sick in all 50 states and still be worth hundreds of billions of dollars.

And there are more men like him. Bezos. Zuckerberg. Huang. Pichai. Ellison. Altman. Insert whichever name you’d like…there are over 1,000 of them….

They want you to keep arguing with Steve from the internet instead of taxing their wealth.

Every billionaire is exactly this kind of policy failure: each one represents something you want that they tell you we can’t afford. Every billionaire signifies, in a final sense, a child who isn’t fed. A homeless person who isn’t housed. A sick person who isn’t cared for. Billionaires are hanging the rest of us on a cross of iron.

📰 News On October 23rd, Call of Duty is releasing Modern Warfare 4 — training millions of players to see the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), a sovereign socialist country, as the enemy.

Call of Duty is not just a game. It's a weapon of imperialist propaganda — designed to dehumanize Koreans, desensitize you to my peoples' slaughter, and make you complicit in the next war on Korea.

Modern Warfare 4 portrays Koreans in the north as the aggressors. But history tells us who the real enemy is.
It was the US that dropped over 600,000 tons of bombs on Korea — 3.7 times the amount dropped on Japan during the entire Pacific War. The US massacred more than 3 million Koreans and obliterated 85% of our villages, schools, hospitals, and infrastructure in the north. The US Air Force killed over 600 people at No Gun Ri — 72% of them women and children.

Today, millions of Koreans still live in the shadow of a war that never ended. Divided families. Mandatory conscription for south Korean men. Camptown prostitution, where US soldiers inflict violence on Korean women. In 2025 alone, the US conducted 274 days of war drills in Korea — rehearsing for nuclear strikes, bombing civilian targets, and assassinations of North Korean leadership.
War in Korea is not a video game — it's happening in real life.

And Call of Duty does more than depict violence — it trains players to inflict it, both in the US and abroad. Families of the Uvalde school shooting victims are suing Activision, Meta, and gun manufacturer Daniel Defense — noting that the shooters in Uvalde, Parkland, and Sandy Hook all played Call of Duty and used AR-15s.

Hollywood and Western media have spent decades dehumanizing North Koreans — and it's not accidental. The Pentagon shapes how games and films depict US wars.

This week, Call of Duty MW4 releases into this moment deliberately — manufacturing consent for imperial wars.
Don't fall for it. Koreans are not your enemies. We survived a genocide — and refuse to be erased again.

Don't play the US's game. Fight the real war machine.

👑 Imperialism ‘ABANDONMENT’ Is The Defining Political Emotion of Our Time - Bestsellin...

On May 1, 2023, a subway car in New York City suddenly became the center of American political discourse and division when former Marine Daniel Penny killed homeless Michael Jackson impersonator Jordan Neely.

New York City was thrust into the spotlight overnight, exposing the deep political rifts and widespread anxieties gripping the nation as a whole.

In his latest book, Man in the Mirror: Hope, Struggle, and Belonging in an American City, journalist and New York Times bestselling author Anand Giridharadas takes a deep dive into what exactly happened in that subway car and what it reveals about the greater character of American politics as we know it today.

“We have lived in a climate over the last 11 years in which there’s a tremendous amount of messaging we are all absorbing creating a permission structure for DIY violence. So I wanted to understand what we could see about ourselves if we looked more closely in that subway car,” he tells Mehdi.

While people from all walks of life were present in that subway car, Giridharadas points to a shared feeling of “abandonment,” which he calls “the defining political emotion of our time.”

But how did we get here exactly? And why has this shared feeling of abandonment divided us more than united us?

In this 38-minute conversation, Mehdi gets to the bottom of these pressing questions and what they mean for the midterms and the 2028 presidential election looming ahead.

Claudia De la Cruz highlights what’s at stake in the midterm elections, and why we need to continue building a socialist movement that’s independent of the Democrats and Republicans.

From the Civil Rights Revolution to today, it is the struggle in the streets, not the vote that has been decisive.
