Discussion Using phone in light rain

Hi Jolla subreddit

This may be a silly question,

But since the back cover is removable,

How safe is it to use the phone for calls or whatever when outside in light rain or drizzle?

It is IP44 rated so don't dunk it. At most splash resistant. I wouldn't even risk rain.

It might be OK if you use the official case, but it would still be at your own risk...  (And I'd still avoid using it in any heavy downpours.)

It's almost constantly raining where I live, I may need to get a case with more coverage xd

The phone has a High voltage connection on the back, using it in the rain, mist, or even near lakes cause it to arc weld you onto anything of metal in a 5m radius.

It also eats kittens.
