Ability to save loops

Hello all - I have a HiChord currently out for delivery, and I was wondering if you can save loops, do they survive a power cycle?

I've searched and I think the answer is no. If so, then please take this as a feature request. I think it would be really really beneficial to the device.....make a few loops (literally anywhere), and then be-able to import to DAWS/Samplers etc., at a time that is convenient.

Thanks!

I think that would be sick but considering the size of the unit and everything it manages already I don’t think it has the capacity to save entire loops. A redesign to include an SD card slot for additional memory would be a good workaround.

FYI The HiChord passes Audio via USB-C really well, so its very easy to plug into a modern phone or tablet and record your loop. (See my train video recording into an IPad mini. My phone would have worked just as well, but i was using that to record video.)

What do you actually use to record on a phone?

It worked on my Ipad mini and it should tecnically work on a phone if its charged enough. I am having problems with it though. I sent PocketAudio an email about it.

Heyyo! Currently HiChord can only save sounds, not loops. But you can record directly from HiChord to phone using the included USB-C cable for quick saving of loops :)

i’ve been just running a usb-c from the hichord right to my phone and recording right into garage band for quick ideas. It’ll record all the midi at once but if you mute looper track and record into garageband you can separate out the tracks. Might need to do some alignment though. Also, I record the separate loops broken out by midi channels into Logic when i want more control. Super easy to get going! I’m loving 3.0 so far!

I have an MPC Sample so I plan just to record ideas there.....but yeah if I'm out and about, Garargeband seems like a good alternative.
