This things too damn heavy without an actual gunbelt so I made myself a chest rig. Really like how it turned out.

My first Mossberg was a regular 500 with the wood furniture and a 28” ribbed barrel. I eventually picked up an 18.5” security barrel for it and loved how good it felt as a “security” shotgun. This got me fascinated with the idea of fighting shotguns, and over the years I’ve loved learning more about defensive shotgun setups, loadings, and techniques and Mossberg pumps have been my favorite models along the way. I also have a standard 590 that I’ve rebuilt and feel as comfortable with as most people do their favorite carbines, but I wanted to grab this 590A1 model to compliment it and I plan on keeping it entirely stock because this configuration just works so well out of the box and looks fantastic.

My pd carried and issued these. This one has an ambi mag release and the others don’t. The others start with serial number JT. We don’t have the boxes but I found an old manual and they depict the fish gills version instead of this extended hand guard and stock configuration. I’m sure that’s what shipped with it and my PD ordered it this way from sig. Anything worth knowing?

Looks like big chungus may have fired her final rounds. Sear axis pin snapped today and started causing occasional hammer follow. Was able to find the sear spring so I may be able to resurrect her next time I have access to a lathe.
For now she's retired to be a parts gun once I pickup another Star 30. Even still I highly recommend the Star 30s for the price they are today. Not the most well engineered but certainly an excellent quality firearm for not a lot of money.

So in Texas (which im a resident of) it is legal for me to buy a handgun in a private sale despite my age. I am over 18 and turn 20 in a few months and was wondering if anyone my age has had any experience purchasing a pistol at a gun show.
Whats the probability of someone being liscensed at a gun show? Im driving an hour and im looking for a CZ P10 or P07 for personal protection. I have two other guns (an ak that im currently converting to a sidefolder and a mossberg that i use for hunting)
(Tips on going through with this would be appreciated. I do 100% know that if I can get my pistol that im keeping that bill of sale)

It's a huge collection, but I spotted this and had to have it right away. 1997 , so a very early run, All docs, including the HK bumper sticker, and of course the M81 case. Looks to be unfired or hardly fired. Just been sitting in a crate for almost 30 years. I've always loved HKs, ( I have an MR556 , P7 and HK45) It's great they still make these, I'm glad I found an old school one from when they were first released.
Just curious if anyone can ID this. Two sections unscrew, I guess one to shorten it and the other to fool with the gas system?

Was digging through some old ammo storage and came across 5 boxes of Winchester Black Talon S9MM 147gr I had forgotten about.
These were the holy grail of defensive ammo back in the '90s before all the controversy. Pretty wild how much attention these things got.
Obviously hollow-point technology has come a long way since then, but I'm curious where everyone stands today.
Would you still trust these for defensive use, shoot them at the range, or keep them as collectibles?

Brought out the arsenal. I've gotten the SKS sighted in for elevation, but the windage tool didn't work so well :( what you see on the target was the last clip I shoved in on my range outing at 100yd. Iron sights, of course. I feel like I can work with that, at least.
Model 10 shoots low if I'm not using 158grn bullets. Boo, the sights are fixed. +p with lighter bullets, like 125 or 110grn are the way to go. It doesn't feel right to aim for the scalp to get a torso hit from7-10yds. But damn I like shooting .38spl. It's kind of...*pleasant*.
I'll be honest. My heavy 6" barrel Llama Comanche .22LR is a sweet and really accurate shooter. But I'd take back the trade, I think I'd like to have my Tec-22 back.

Hello. I am looking to purchase an M84 scope (made by Sarco) while traveling in the United States, and bring it back to my home country.
Does anyone know if this would be subject to ITAR regulations?
Some people say it’s fine as long as it doesn’t have a mil-scale reticle, while others claim that all scopes are prohibited. I’ve tried reading the regulations myself, but I’m still not entirely clear on the rules.

I bought this gun off a auction and am trying to figure out what model the scope is. I’ve looked everywhere and can’t find one that’s the exact same with the illuminated reticle. It’s a leupold 4.5-14x40 that’s all I know.

(Picture so I can properly explain the situation lol. And because the rifle in question looks identical to the picture.)
So, I walked into my local shop that a friend works at so I could bullshit a bit before work.
They hand me a couple things off the shelf to finger around with, then I run to the restroom.
In that time, a gentleman walks in that i havent seen before. (I would find out that at one point he was part of the 10th Mountain Division.)
I come out of the restroom and am told to look at something. Its a FDE MSAR, in perfect condition. With a very nice multi pouch case. And 7 mags!!!!
And you know how much he wants for it?
$1100.
So needless to say on Thursday I will be joining the (knockoff) AUG gang!!!

Recently switched out my LPVO for a red dot and magnifier (holoson ARO) and instantly fell in love with it. Over the past week and a half I’ve shot well over 1k rounds with it and it’s the most fun I’ve ever had shooting.

I recently bought this ‘79 marlin 444 and when I got it home I tore it all down and during the process of re assembly I found that the end cap of the foregrip no longer aligns with the small metal piece inside.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
